Surat al-Kahf, 36-39

1987

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on A9 TV dated 7 June 2012

“I do not think the Hour will ever come. But if I should be sent back to my Lord, I will definitely get something better in return.." (Surat al Kahf, 36)

What do they say? “The Day of Judgment will not come. It will come only millions of years from now. We come from eternity and we are going to eternity.” The purpose here is to avoid the Day of Judgment, the portents of the Day of Judgment and the End Times. This mindset  also existed  in the time of the Companions of the Cave. This is how they avoided the End Times, how they covered it up and the Day of Judgment.

“I do not think the Hour will ever come. But if I should be sent back to my Lord, I will definitely get something better in return." You know there are such people who say, “If there is the Hereafter, He will place me in the best place.” You may have heard it very frequently. That mindset of disbelievers has  always been the same in every phase of the history.

His companion, with whom he was debating, said to him, ‘Do you then disbelieve in Him who created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm, and then formed you as a man? (Surat al Kahf, 37)

What were they saying first while communicating the message of Islam  at that time? First, Creation. How human beings were created. There is a clear response to the creed of happenstance, coincidence. So they also follow our method. They provide evidence regarding Creation.

He is, however, Allah, my Lord, and I will not associate anyone with my Lord. (Surat al-Kahf, 38)

In other words, he says that he will not make them as idols for himself. He says that he does everything to earn Allah’s good pleasure. He does not  want to appear fine to his school friends, his friends at the club. He does not make them his idols. He wants to live as a servant to Allah, insha’Allah.

Why, when you entered your garden, did you not say, “It is as Allah wills, there is no strength but in Allah”?

That means that when one enters a garden, even if there is a single  grape, that place is simply a garden. So what would a Muslim say in this case? Masha’Allah. There is no god other than Allah. Masha’Allah. How nicely has our Lord created. This is obligatory. If a person has a house with a garden and if there is any grape or other fruit, then while entering that garden he needs to say, “Masha’Allah. There is no god other than Allah.”

“Though you see me with less wealth and children than you possess.” (Surat al-Kahf, 39)

In the End times, people boast by using  their children and possessions. The fact is however, in time  kids die, possessions disappear. On the Day of Judgment, everything will be reduced to nothing.
