Clarification:Allah has revealed that the verses of the Qur’an also have alternative meanings. Examined in close detail, in addition to their primary meanings, many verses of the Qur’an also contain very explicit secondary references to Hazrat Mahdi (as) and to Islamic moral values ruling the world in the End Times (in 1400, by the Islamic calendar). This article, sent to our web site by reader Huseyin Ucak, discusses those verses if Surat al-Qalam and Surat al-Kawthar that figuratively refer to Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the dominion of Islamic moral values in the End Times.
SURAT AL-QALAM AND HAZRAT MAHDI’S (AS) STRUGGLE AGAINST MUCH OF THE MEDIA
Surat al-Qalam may refer to Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) struggle against much of the media. In examination the verses may be referring to the media of the dajjal in the End Times and to the traps they will set for Hazrat Mahdi (as), how they will describe him and that this struggle will take place through the media. (Allah knows the truth.)
(Clarification: Some newspapers and television stations in the End Times will oppose the spread of proper moral values by indoctrinating people with Darwinism and materialism. They will thus oppose, at least in their own eyes, the great intellectual struggle against Darwinism and materialism waged by Hazrat Mahdi (as). However, this activity on behalf of the dajjal by certain media organizations will be to no avail, and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will intellectually annihilate Darwinism and materialism.)
Nun By the Pen and what they write down! By the blessing of your Lord, you are not mad. (Surat al-Qalam, 1-2)
The first verses describe Hazrat Mahdi (as) engaging in a struggle with some of writing, with an oath being taken by the pen and what they write. Such as books and the internet. We are told that the media of the dajjal will call Hazrat Mahdi (as) mad and will spread this by way of the media. But it also says that he is not mad, and that this is a blessing bestowed on him by Allah. (Allah knows the truth)
You will have a wage which never-fails. Indeed you are truly vast in character. (Surat al-Qalam, 3-4)
In verses 3 and 4 the wage that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will receive is described and his moral character praised. (Allah knows the truth)
So you will see and they will see which of you is mad. (Surat al-Qalam, 5-6)
Verses 5 and 6 say that Allah will rescue Hazrat Mahdi (as) after he has been accused of madness and after that false allegation has been spread by the media, and that the madness of those issuing such slanders will then emerge. And it is they who will be the truly mad ones in the sight of Allah.
Your Lord knows best who is misguided from His Way and He knows best those who are guided. So do not obey those who deny the truth. They wish that you would conciliate them, then they too would be conciliating. (Surat al-Qalam, 7-9)
Verses 7 and 8 say that reports saying that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is misguided will appear in the media, and that most people will believe them and regard him as misguided. But we are also told that only Allah truly knows how people are and who will attain salvation. In these terms, the verses emphasize the need not to submit to such people and for an intellectual struggle against them. (Allah knows the truth)
Verse 9 states that they will want Hazrat Mahdi (as) to behave as they wish and that in this way their own interests will not be harmed. It says that they will appear on the outside to be very gentle and altruistic. But their real nature is revealed in the following verse:
But do not obey any vile swearer of oaths, any backbiter, slandermonger, impeder of good, evil aggressor, gross, coarse and furthermore, despicable, simply because he possesses wealth and sons. When Our Signs are recited to him, he says,‘Just myths of previous peoples!’ We will brand him on the snout! (Surat al-Qalam, 10-16)
These verses particularly emphasize the characteristics of those who will struggle against Hazrat Mahdi (as). And they say how they will issue reports in the media. It is clear, in the light of these characteristics, the kind of mindset such a person or people will have. They also emphasize that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not surrender, but will pursue his struggle.
Verse 16, referring to branding on the snout, is particularly striking. There is an expression referring to poking one’s nose in everywhere. Branding on the snout may well mean that it will immediately become clear just who is behind every false report. And today, false reports and the like are emerging into the light of day. (Allah knows the truth)
What is the matter with you? On what basis do you judge? Or do you have a Book which you study, so that you may have anything in it you choose? Or do you have oaths which bind Us, extending to the Day of Rising, that you will have whatever you decide? Ask them which of them stands as guarantor for that! Or do they have Divine partners? Then let them produce their partners if they are telling the truth! (Surat al-Qalam, 36-41)
Again in these verses the media of the dajjal are warned against such false reports and pronouncements. The verse "Or do you have a book which you study, so that you may have anything in it you choose?" draws attention to one particularly important matter. As we know, news reports are read in news publishing. It is asking the aim behind such false reports. (Allah knows the truth)The next verse says that they regard themselves as worthy of all beauty and truth, but that this is a hollow belief. (Allah knows the truth)The following verse reveals that they will claim that all their reports and pronouncements are true, and that they will produce reports of what they want to be true, but that these will all be in vain. (Allah knows the truth)
We are told that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is given the power to question and strive against them (Clarification: this will be an intellectual struggle on the level of ideas, insha’Allah, and through his love and compassion Hazrat Mahdi (as) will cause the moral values of Islam to rule the world). And he will demand they produce evidence to show which of these reports and pronouncements are true. In this way, they will be humiliated and exposed as liars. (Allah knows the truth)
The last verse says they will be questioned as why they produced these reports and how they came by such pronouncements, and that those who provide them with these reports have no power and are blatantly in a state of perversion. (Allah knows the truth)
I will allow them more time. My subterfuge is sure.Or do you ask them for a wage so they are weighed down with debt? Or is the Unseen in their hands, so they can write out what is to happen? (Surat al-Qalam, 45-47)
In these verses we are told that Allah gives them and works a subterfuge. The other verse also tells us that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will ask for nothing for what he does, but that they find it difficult to do what Allah says. (Allah knows the truth)
He also calls them to account for the basis on which they based their reports. The way that writing is again emphasized here may represent a significant reference to the media. (Allah knows the truth)
Those who are kafir all but strike you down with their evil lookswhen they hear the Reminder and say, “He is quite mad.” But it is nothing less than a Reminder to all the worlds. (Surat al-Qalam, 51-52)
In these two verses we are told that in light of Qur’an and the hadith, Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) activities being reported by way of the media (such as on web pages, in books and on television programs) will lead to jealousy in and upset the media of the dajjal. The reference to striking down with evil looks in the verse "…all but strike you down with their evils looks … and say, ‘He is quite mad” may be a reference to them seeking to harm by way of visual sources such as the television, newspapers and the internet. (Allah knows the truth)
The verse also says that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be called mad, that publications will say that his actions are nonsensical and there will be efforts to disseminate this through the media. The final verse describes activities performed in the light of the Qur’an as a reminder. (Allah knows the truth)
SURAT AL-KAWTHAR AND A CALL TO HAZRAT MAHDI IN THE END TIMES IN SURAT AL-KAWTHAR
Truly We have given you Great Abundance (Surat al-Kawthar, 1)
The verse opens with a reference to great abundance. By addressing Hazrat Mahdi (as) it says he will enjoy great plenty. (Allah knows the truth) For example, the way that his followers achieve success in their activities through the power and wisdom to be bestowed on him, his meeting with the Prophet Jesus, his leadership of the Islamic world and many things we do not yet know will be sources of goodness and abundance for him. (Allah knows the truth)
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice (Surat al-Kawthar, 2)
The second verse may be emphasizing that fact that prayer in particular will be abandoned in the End Times, but that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will have to discharge this and all other religious obligations and also recommend these to other people. In addition, his followers may also be asked to do this. (Allah knows the truth) It also suggests that the religious observance of the sacrifice may also not be performed or else misinterpreted in the End Times, and that this may again be demanded of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and also those who follow him. There may also be a figurative allusion to the importance of earthly desires being sacrificed, especially in the End Times, and that the fewer earthly desires one has, the closer one will come to the salvation. (Allah knows the truth)
It is the one who hates you who is cut off without an heir. (Surat al-Kawthar, 3)
Verse 3 states that those who work against Hazrat Mahdi (as) and issue false reports against him actually deserve to be on the receiving end of these activities themselves and that these false reports are actually for them. Because this may refer to the fact that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is not married he will have no descendants, but those who strive against him will produce false reports about his relations with women, but that it is actually they themselves who do these things (Clarification: According to the hadith, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will resemble the Prophet Yusuf (as) in being falsely arrested and imprisoned. The wife of the vizier whom the Prophet Yusuf worked alongside uttered lies and slanders against the prophet because he was so chaste. It would seem that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will also be slandered on this subject), and that by Allah’s leave, he, his followers, the sayyid and those who love him will overcome these difficulties and these people will be eliminated from the face of the earth. (Allah knows the truth)
