On 13 September, 2007, the Norwegian-language daily Vårt Land, printed in Oslo, punished a report titled “A Muslim Struggling against Darwin – A Turkish Publisher Is Distributing a Magnificent Book to Combat Darwinism.” Written by Marianne Lystrup, the article provided the following information about the Atlas of Creation:
... Hundreds of copies of the giant-sized Atlas of Creation sent to Denmark have been received. Schools and universities in Europe and the USA have also received tens of thousands of copies this year. People at the University of Oslo have received them, too.
The Atlas of Creation is now in the [University of Oslo] Mathematics-Science Faculty library...They took it to the library and included it in the listings.
Experts and clergymen in our country have also received this special gift. The Norwegian Theology Faculty is another recipient of this kind gift.
The Atlas of Creation belongs to one Adnan Oktar, writing under the pen-name Harun Yahya who, according to The New York Times, has published a great many works such as books, videos and DVDs in order to struggle with the theory of evolution.
The book is approximately 800 pages long with an incalculable number of breathtaking coloured pictures of animals and fossils...
The publishers,Global Publishing, say they have printed many copies of the book, which is available in English, French, German, Italian and Russian...
