Surat al-Munafiqun, 1-6 (Hypocrites' hearts are empty)

When the hypocrites come to you they say, ‘We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah.’ Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are certainly liars.

They have made their oaths into a cloak and barred the Way of Allah. What they have done is truly evil.

That is because they believed and then returned to disbelief. So their hearts have been sealed up and they cannot understand.
When you see them, their outward form appeals to you, and if they speak you listen to what they say. But they are like propped-up planks of wood. They imagine every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah fight them! How they are perverted!

When they are told, ‘Come, and the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you,’ they turn their heads and you see them turn away in haughty arrogance.

In their case it makes no difference whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them. Allah will never forgive them. Allah does not guide deviant people. (Surat al-Munafiqun, 1-6)

ADNAN OKTAR: In the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Most Merciful. "When the hypocrites come to you they say, 'We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah.' Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are certainly liars." (Surat Al-Munafiqun, 1) Hypocrites always show themselves as if they have taqwa [fear of and obedience to Allah]; this is very important. The main feature of hypocrite is his claim of living the religion better. He comes with the claim that he lives the religion in a more perfect way. I mean, he says "You wouldn't know. I know better." For instance, hypocrites of the time of our Prophet (saas) demonstrated this in the clearest, severest and ugliest way. They have built a more decorated, more comfortable masjid called the Masjid Adh-Dhirar.  And they told our Prophet (saas), "We live the religion; live Islam better here. You can come if you want but mostly Muslims there should come." They said "They can come and perform their prayers here." They don't approve of the Prophet (saas), may Allah forbid, they don't approve of Muslims there and they say "We are doing better here." All hypocrites are perfidious, treacherous, undignified and inglorious. And they try to present and indoctrinate their own interests to Muslims under the name of fear of Allah. This is a game.

They go with the claim that they are performing religious exercises in a more perfect way and by accusing Muslims with deviance. But their hearts are completely empty and they dont have any love for Allah and the Qur'an. As a matter of fact when they leave, hypocrites serve either the unbelievers or their lower selves. They don't show effort to spread Islam or the Qur'an. Just like the hypocrites did in the time of Our Prophet (saas), they perform their prayers, preach the religion in appearance, just to avoid any conscientious pressure. I mean they show themselves partially like Muslims, just to make people in the outside to say so. I mean as long as it would't disturb their comfort. For instance, they may go and give a book to someone or explain a verse from the Qur'an but his true desire is to live this world. Because if he had any real intention he would have given himself to Islam completely. But he doesn't. Only partially. A feature of the hypocrite is that he shows himself as if he is serving to religion to the extent that people can see and that he can deceive himself conscientiously. We have seen this in the Masjid Adh-Dhirar very clearly. "They have made their oaths into a cloak and barred the Way of Allah. What they have done is truly evil." And these are.. see that he is making an oath, talking in the name of Allah, as if he is on the Side of Allah. "And barred the Way of Allah. What they have done is truly evil." I mean, the real intention of the hypocrites is to ensure that Islam is not lived but they don't directly say that they are against Islam. He continues to perform his prayers reluctantly, to fast reluctantly and talk about the religion reluctantly, but his conclusive intention is for Muslims to break up and for Islam to lose its strength.

Because then the hypocrite will find comfort. Because look Allah says in the verse, "they want you to be like them."
Look Almighty Allah explains and says, I seek refuge with Allah from the satan, "That is because they have had faith.." First he believes, "and then returned to unbelief" look he first has faith then he denies. "So their hearts have been sealed up and they cannot understand." So he then becomes a simpleton, a classical fool, he wouldn't understand even if you tell him. The hypocrite has a crazy soul; no matter what you tell, the hypocrite thinks it over in his own opinion; there is part called the section of the hypocrite. What you tell goes through this section of the hypocrite and then reaches his brain only after going through the hypocrite's logic.

Therefore, he considers what is being told with the eyes of the hypocrite and he never accepts it as true. Look it is said, "So their hearts have been sealed up and they cannot understand." Even if you explain, he wouldn't comprehend. Therefore, you can't understand the hypocrite's logic even if you want to; that is he is very strange. "When you see them, their outward form appeals to you." In terms of physical appearance; for instance, they live well, eat well, dress well and they are comfortable. "And if they speak you listen to what they say."

They actually talk about the Qur'an and the Sunnah, Allah and the Book and you really believe that they are Muslims. "But they are like propped-up planks of wood." Allah says that they are people like wood and they are empty. "They imagine every cry to be against them." For instance, a news item takes place in the paper, they panic. Someone says something and they panic like everything is against them. For instance, someone looks at him and he panics. Because he loves life, he doesn't want any harm to come to him. I mean, the things that he idolizes are his body and life. Allah is the last in priority for them. [Allah is beyond this.] His real concern is his body and to live comfortable like a dog, I mean to live the life of a riley. If necessary, they grovel, act like a dog, court favor, blow the whistle, play a game, just to ensure that he maintains his dirty body insha'Allah. Allah says, "They imagine every cry to be against them, they are the enemy." He can't help it; he has hatred for Muslims inside. He also has a dog's loyalty for the unbelievers and hypocrites as he shelters with them like a dog. For instance, think about a wild dog, he courts favor of its owner who feeds it. Right? For instance, an aggressive dog tries to get people to pet him but if he rages he attacks people and doesn't listen to anyone if he got that poison. Allah says, "They are the enemy, so beware of them."

Don't go near them, keep away. "They are the enemy, so beware of them." Allah says that he can do any vileness so be on alert. He says, "May Allah destroy them! How they are perverted!"  We also say may Allah destroy all the hypocrites. See that in the verse Allah says; "May Allah destroy them!" and we say that may Allah destroy them all, all the hypocrites, through illnesses, disasters, scourges, through grief.

OKTAR BABUNA: Insha'Allah Master

ADNAN OKTAR: "How they are perverted!" says Allah. He says "how they turn".  May Allah instill restlessness, grief and the fear of death in them. That is because they think every moment that they can die of cancer or something else and thinks about the shortness of life. Since they love life very much their whole lives pass in misery.

And the hypocrite hates the hypocrite very much. Allah makes dirt live in dirt and gives them such a torment. The hypocrite hates the hypocrite the most but Allah makes them live in dirt like a dung beetle and he can't get rid of that dirt. Allah makes them object of those whom they are most revolted by. Since he is a hypocrite himself, he is obliged to live with hypocrites. "When they are told, 'Come, and the Messenger of Allah     will ask forgiveness for you,' they turn their heads.."

They don't accept the Prophet (saas) anyway and they won't accept Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) nor the Prophet Jesus (pbuh). They have idolized themselves. Allah says that they turn their heads to the side and they stay away. They are inconsiderate and insolent. "you see them turn away in haughty arrogance." Look, "haughty arrogance"; a weird great egocentrism and a claim that he lives the religion better, they "turn away"; that means they wouldn't want to be with the Muslims. They turn their heads away from them and stay away as much as possible. Look this is the law of Allah. Allah says that He created this like that. But they do these because Allah created them like that, but they think that they do it independently. They think that they do so freely but actually it is their destiny. "In their case it makes no difference whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them." Allah says that even if you asked for them to be forgiven it doesn't matter. Allah says, "Allah will never forgive them. Allah does not guide deviant people" insha'Allah..
