Surat an-Naml, 15-19

1966

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on A9TV; 19 January 2013

Surat an-Naml, verse 15

We gave knowledge to David and Solomon who said, ‘Praise be to Allah who has favored us over many of His slaves who are faithful.’

We gave knowledge to David and Solomon The Mahdi is from the lineage of the Prophet David (pbuh). He is called Messiah, the son of David, and in that time the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) establishes a world state. This is one of the world dominions mentioned in Surat an-Nur verse 55. The second one is the dominion of Dhul-Qarnayn (pbuh). The third and last one is that of Hazrat Mahdi (as). ‘Praise be to Allah who has favored us over many of His slaves who are faithful.’

Surat an-Naml, verse 16 Solomon was David's heir. He said, ‘Mankind! we have been taught the speech of birds and we have been given everything. This is indeed clear favor.’ Solomon was David's heir. Who is the heir to the Prophet Solomon (pbuh)? Hazrat Mahdi (as) because the dominion following that of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is his. Being the heir means that Almighty Allah will resume that power and reign with him. Sometimes it can thin down like thread but sometimes it can grow as big as the Earth. Now in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) that thread will grow as big as the Earth insha’Allah because Islam has thinned down so much that it was about to break. But now it will cover the whole world insha'Allah. He said, ‘Mankind! we have been taught the speech of birds There is no single explanation here. It means that the depth and details of everything will be learned in the End Times because it is very difficult to learn the language of birds. In the End Times such amazing incidents will take place. Secondly, there will be a great love for animals. Thirdly, there is a language of communication among animals;  this will be solved. So in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) the language of animals will be discovered. ...and we have been given everything.

Land, food, vehicles, speedy transportation, beauty, aesthetics, democracy, science. “All of the blessings in the world are granted to us in the best and highest- quality way possible.” The same will happen in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). The verse means the highest form of art, economy, aesthetics, cleanliness, quality, clothes, architecture and everything will be most superior because we understand that the best of everything is granted by Allah.Solomon was David's heir. He said, ‘Mankind! we have been taught the speech of birds and we have been given everything. This is indeed clear favor.’.” It is a form of superiority openly seen in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). It is not a hidden superiority. For example they say, “We are superior”. You ask, “Where?” They say, “But we are secretly superior”. But Allah says here, “Openly superior”.  Muslims are superior but what is openly superior? It means superior in every aspect. Superiority in politics, art, aesthetics, science and everything. This open superiority will take place in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as).

Surat an-Naml, verse 17 Solomon's troops, made up of jinn and men and birds, were assembled for him, paraded in tight ranks.

Birds and jinn; so in the end times people will communicate the jinn and jinn will serve humanity. The jinn’s education is not complete yet; Allah alone knows the truth. They will mature with the permission of Almighty Allah and they will gain wisdom. For instance people will ask, “Where is the Ark of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh)?” They will say, “Here”. And we will find it very easily. We will say, “Where is this and that?” The jinn will tell us. We will find it very easily, with Allah’s permission. This is what is meant. Now there is a secret service aspect among the jinn; meaning intelligence is secret because the jinn are unseen. So intelligence needs to be unseen also. It needs to be in an unseen system. If you pay attention, the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was using birds for intelligence. It is understood that Hudhud is also a jinn because it is a creature open to faith and responsible with faith; so we can understand that it is a sort of jinn. It is understood from the verse that it is from the jinn as it is used for intelligence. We understand that one of the most important aspects of armies is intelligence. So we see that the power of intelligence in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be as strong as the power of intelligence was in the time of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh), meaning communications. We understand that the intelligence power of the time of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) will rise to the highest level in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). And we understand that the military is composed of several sections. For example there is land, air and sea. Air is of birds and the other is land; we understand this. And there is another form of intelligence; as there are jinn of the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) working in the sea, and these operate under the sea. Now there are submarines operating under the sea. People can go to the bottom of the sea with submarines. “Devils operate at the bottom of the sea and bring up ornamental objects and various materials from inside the sea.” It is implied in the verse that there will be operations at sea, in the air and on land, and there will be intelligence operations, and there will be a perfect military system. We see this.

Surat an-Naml, verse 18

Then, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant said, ‘O, Ants! enter your dwellings so that Solomon and his troops do not crush you unwittingly.’

Ants also have a language. This has not been determined yet. We know that ants are very intelligent. We see that they have an amazing mind. We know that they have a very good communication system, but this also has not been solved yet. The Qur'an points out that science will solve this in this century. This is the last stop science will reach; so the last stop on this point is described as such. When this communication among ants is determined, another miracle of the Qur'an will be discovered. We see how compassionate the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was to people and all beings. He never shed any blood. You know the saying “He would not hurt a fly” the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) was  like that. He is that careful. He is so careful that he did not even crush any ants when traveling with his army. It is emphasized. A person would never want to step on an ant knowingly; he would have pity. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is like that. He is very compassionate. For example, the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) never shed any blood. He had a strong army but it was used as a deterrent. The Qur'an explains the military power of Hazrat Mahdi (as) in a hidden manner. Such things are always discussed in a hidden manner in the Qur'an. Allah reveals in the Qur'an that such wonders will be solved. The Qur'an reveals that there is a closed expression of wisdom but these will be inspired to people by Allah. It is openly explained in Surah Yusuf as well. We see that codes and secrets there will be understood by people, especially those that point to the system of the Mahdi, when the time comes.

Surat an-Naml, verse 19

He smiled, laughing at its words, and said, ‘My Lord, keep me thankful for the blessing You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and keep me acting rightly, pleasing You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your slaves who are righteous.’

Being sincere, being among His sincere servants. What is it that a Muslim wants? To be among the sincere ones in the hereafter; to be among the sincere servants in this world. We see that the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) is a very sincere believer. He is not after pleasure. Always searching for the good pleasure of Allah and seeking to be with sincere and devout Muslims and with love for his mother and father, but real mothers and fathers who are Muslims and people of faith. Not friends or fathers and mothers who try to encourage him or her to disbelief or make him or her enemies with Muslims. Not mothers and fathers who direct their children to corruption and disbelief but mothers and fathers who direct their  children to the truth. This is a sign of the Qur'an.
