Surah al-Kahf -6: Hazrat Khidr (pbuh) acts upon the revelation of Allah. The necessity of taking precautions before an incident takes place is stressed on in the Qur'an.

MERVE BÜYÜKBAYRAK: [I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. Surat Al-Kahf, verse 80] "As for the boy, his parents were Muslims and we feared that he would darken their days with excessive insolence and unbelief."

ADNAN OKTAR: That is a sign in the Qur'an about taking precautions right from the very beginning, before something happens. For instance if a dissension is apparent, if what will happen after an incident, how the system will collapse and what will happen later on is obvious from the very beginning, the Qur'an draws attention to the importance of taking a precaution from the very beginning, - as the saying goes-, of strangling something at birth. But of course in this particular incident, Hazrat Khidr (pbuh) is acting completely upon the revelation of Allah. I mean he does not act on his own disposal and he explains that later on.
