(In response to the mail of an audience member who asks, “Teacher, do you think Hagia Sophia will be opened for worship?” )

ADNAN OKTAR: In the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). The Fatih Mosque will be full of worshippers, and that mosque will also be full, because it will be needed then. What did Prime Minister Erdogan say? “There is a mosque next to this one. Once it is full, we will also open it.” When is this period? In the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as), because mosques will be insufficient to take in all the believers. And similarly squares will not be enough. Masha’Allah, and they will also open Hagia Sophia. Insha’Allah.

(In the AK Party’s Kizilcahamam camp, Prime Minister Erdogan responded to the questions of the deputies about when Hagia Sophia will be opened for worshipping: “We will open Hagia Sophia for worship but Sultan Ahmed is empty. If Sultan Ahmed becomes full, we can also put Hagia Sophia in line.”)

ADNAN OKTAR: He has made a good statement. Look at the courage he has. His statement is wonderful. OK. We will fill the mosques, by God’s will. Bismillah. That is all right, insha’Allah. We will fill the mosques, and he will open it.

(Nuh Gönültaş, a columnist of Bugün journal, wrote that he wants the Hagia Sophia to be opened, but Turkey does not have the might to open  Hagia Sophia and  keep it open. )

ADNAN OKTAR: I said that they can’t open  Hagia Sophia. There is no need to say anything else. Even if it is opened, no one will go and pray there. The mosques are empty. Do you see Sultan Ahmed? It is empty. The Beyazit Mosque is empty. When the mosques will be full of believers, then it becomes reasonable [to open it].
