The BBC"s Neanderthail Error

2322
A report published on the BBC website on 16 May, 2006, titled "Neanderthal yields nuclear DNA," dealt with analyses of nuclear DNA obtained from a Neanderthal fossil by a team led by the geneticist Svante Paabo. However, in that section where the analyses in question were interpreted, Neanderthals were referred to as a separate species from modern man, Homo sapiens. It was suggested that Neanderthals separated as a distinct evolutionary line some 390,000 years ago.

However, the fact that Neanderthals are regarded as a separate species from modern man stems from various anatomical differences at the racial level being exaggerated according to the requirements of the theory of evolution. In fact, many evolutionist researchers openly admit that Neanderthals are only distinguished from modern European races by trivial differences, for which reason they represent not a species distinct from Homo sapiens but a sub-species of it, in other words a variation. As Erik Trinkhaus, an expert on the subject of Neanderthals, admits, Neanderthals are scarcely any different in cultural and anatomical terms. In addition, the claim that Neanderthals embarked on a new evolutionary path 390,000 years ago is also based on preconceptions. Evolutionists compare the genetic sequences they obtained in the study in question with sequences from Homo sapiens and make various evolutionary assumptions regarding the differences between them. They then attempt to portray the interpretations they produce based on these assumptions as if they were the scientific results of the study. For more detail on why hypotheses carried out in this way represent no evidence for the theory of evolution, see http://www.darwinism-watch.com/widening_genetic_gap_2005.php)
