Prime minister Erdoğan: No discrimination against Christians or Jews or Atheists

What He Said?What Happened?

Adnan Oktar has repeatedly emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity and unity of our country in his TV programs, articles and books, and continuously highlights the importance of avoiding discrimination in all areas of life. He has also urged  government officials many times to strictly avoid differentiating between Christians, Muslims, Jews, or atheists and that every person should have equal rights and that Turkey should be welcoming towards the people of Europe, the US and Israel. Mr. Oktar also drew attention to the importance of Istanbul and made it clear that Istanbul is the city from where Hz. Mahdi will set out.

Likewise, Prime Minister Erdogan stressed repeatedly during his speeches that he is against all sorts of discrimination and that everyone is treated equally in this country, without any differentiation between atheists, Jews, Muslims or Christians and that government services are provided to everyone equally.

Adnan Oktar: The Prime Minister doesn't say ‘I am doing this out of thoughts of racial superiority ’, [on the contrary], he says, ‘I want Islamic Union’. And the system of the Mahdi  is approaching with firm steps, while Tayyip Master keeps helping the Mahdi system.

There is a Mahdi movement in Turkey. Our Prophet (pbuh) says, ‘Mahdi (as) will emerge from Istanbul’. So there is this beautiful movement in Turkey, confirming these words of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). Our Prophet also says that there will be holy relics in the place where Mahdi (as) is and the holy relics are in Istanbul.

Adnan Oktar: The Sun rises where it sets  and sets where it rose. This is usually like that. So if the sun set here, it will rise here. This is the first thing I believe and the second thing I believe, which is even more essential, is that the Mahdi will emerge from Istanbul. There are many hadiths confirming this. It [the place where Mahdi will emerge from is] shown as Constantinople. And also there are many hadiths explaining how the Turks will play a great role in this and the Mahdi will emerge from amongst the Turks. The historical conditions also point to the same outcome, as do the social conditions and the general course of developments in the world; Turkey emerges as a natural leader.

ADNAN OKTAR: Tayyip Master has to pursue a policy that embraces everyone. It is not easy to have a balanced policy, but it is possible and it is reasonable. For instance, they can have a compassionate tone towards Israel. He can have a loving, embracing language towards the Jews. He could send a message along the lines of, ‘I am against these practices, but I love the people of Israel’ and ‘I am sympathetic towards you.’

ADNAN OKTAR: Tayyip Master should make his Ataturkist side even more pronounced and he shouldn't trust the bigots at all. He should emphasize his modern side. He can express his displeasure towards Europe [the European Union], but he should be very loving towards the European people and make it very clear that he loves them all. He should say he loves the Americans. He can express his disapproval of the actions of the CIA and some [American] politicians, but he should make it very clear that he loves the American people. He should praise  European art and should embrace and protect everyone, including the atheists.

Kral Karadeniz TV: January 30th, 2009

Adnan Oktar: It is essential that the good-will, love, compassionate and embracing attitude of the Turkish-Islamic world, AND ESPECIALLY TOWARDS THE CHRISTIANS AND JEWS IS MADE KNOWN AND ALSO, WE HAVE TO MAKE IT KNOWN THAT WE ARE VERY DETERMINED TO PROTECT THEM. They need to feel and understand that we will not be separated and that they are our own, our family.

Prime Minister Erdogan gave a speech during the Yenikapi rally of the AK Party, and said, ‘Istanbul, you are full of love, Fatih entrusted you to us. Istanbul, may my Lord protect you. My Lord, do not leave the crowds waiting for a hero, without a hero. Our Lord, do not leave us without a shepherd. Our Lord, do not leave us without love, without water, air, and our lands. Our Lord, do not leave these lands drenched in Islam, [but] without Muslims.’

PM Erdogan also said that they would never pursue  religious discrimination: ‘Because although the majority in this country are Muslims, we serve non-Muslims too. It’s our duty. We will not discriminate against anyone, and it doesn't matter if someone is a Christian, a Jew or an atheist. We have to serve them the same way, and we will not discriminate’
