Italians are fine in that way. Women are free, beautiful and groomed. They love art and they are indeed very talented in art. They have a very good spirit. This is what we want to achieve in Turkey. If there is no art, aesthetics, quality or beauty, build as many bridges, road as you want, it would not matter. There must be art, aesthetics, faith, joy, fear of Allah, love of Allah everywhere. Look at the status of women and understand whether there is freedom or not. Done. Otherwise other traits of that regime would not matter. It’s finished. But if women are free, it’s okay. There will be women who prefer low-neck dresses, who do not cover their hair, who prefer the veil or burka; there will be all types of women. Religion develops very comfortably in such an environment. Pressure would cause a lack of balance. I think it would be very good, because all of Europe is modern, America is modern and the whole would loves modernity. Even in Pakistan, people love modernity. They are a conservative community but even they look for a modern Prime Minister. Of course, even in Iran they look for a modern person and they elect a reformer. Even bigots love modernity. They appear like they are against it, but actually they like it. Modernity gives joy and it is nice. A classical right-wing approach out of the 1940ss would not suit the world. It would bore people. It is a model that pressures people. They need love, joy and compassion. They need joy. A9 TV: June 8th, 2013 ADNAN OKTAR: Real modernity is to achieve a society that is full of love. Not a cold, grey society but a joyful, quality and full-of-life. The government’s target must be this. But they can only show this much due to the pressure of bigots. Otherwise he is a person who is open-minded about arts and freedoms, and who wants a sparkling life and all the facilities he opened are very modern. He uses all the means provided by science. He wants science to advance as much as possible. |
