What He Said?What Happened?

In his conversation programs, Mr. Adnan Oktar frequently emphasizes that our village guards must be supported and protected against the PKK threat.

Following this comment, our soldiers visited the families of temporary village guards who were martyred, helped the families with food and dined together, setting a floor table.

ADNAN OKTAR: The existence of our village guards is vital. No one will touch the village guards. It will not happen. Their numbers must be increased. Let’s increase their numbers slowly. They must be staffed in the police force. They must live comfortably. This would enrich the Southeast region. It would be nice. A good flow of funds would be good. Let’s invest more there so our brothers can buy shoes or jackets, etc., for their children. Let’s boost their lifestyles there. This is also good for the state. This would enrich the state as well. This would mobilize industry also. There would cause a market movement, if they are looking from a monetary point of view. If they are looking from a spiritual point of view, and that’s what I’m doing, then this is a great good deed.

Let’s adopt an attitude that clarifies the status of the village guards, increases their strength and shows that they are protected by the state. Abdullah Ocalan says, “Abandon the village guard system and crush their heads” in short. Now we need to do the exact opposite of what Abdullah Ocalan says. We need to embrace and support these children of our country completely. This is a terrible thing.

ADNAN OKTAR: As we say, “Let’s improve the village guard system and strengthen them” they do the opposite. There is a handful of Kirghiz Turks there. If they are put on the payroll and staffed as village guards and if their numbers are increased, this would both solve their problem of earning a living – they can be given animals and land as well- and result in a strong structure against the PKK. It is desperate that they are turning back. The government must take strong precautions about this.

ADNAN OKTAR: My demand from Master Tayyip is that he protects village guards. He must take them into the police force and increase their numbers and increase their means as well as defensive strengths. This village guard system is perfect. For example, we go to a village in Mardin and who meets us there with fully automatic weapons? Village guards do, with the Turkish flag on their chests. This is very nice. We can dine together and drink yoghurt beverages and have fun together. Therefore the state must protect village guards. Their numbers and their means must be increased. Their weapons capabilities must be increased. Their defensive power must be increased. May Allah forbid, of course, may Allah protect them from a conflict and bullets. We would never want something like that, but as a deterrent, they must be equipped with perfect weapons. Otherwise, may Allah keep them away from the need to use those weapons.

ADNAN OKTAR: The government must protect the village guards. The village guards must be staffed in the police force; their numbers and firepower must be increased as well. They must be equipped with close combat weapons such as grenades if necessary. There is no other way. The village guards must also have their guns with them when they come down to the city.

November 19th, 2014: A9 TV

ADNAN OKTAR: This is one of the most important things that they will emphasize in the Southeast region; protecting our village guards. The village guards must be staffed in the police force. They must be able to carry arms in the city. Their numbers must be increased. Village guards are like lions. They are true and brave Kurdish people. They are lions.

July 14th, 2014: A9 TV

ADNAN OKTAR: First of all, the betterment of our village guards in the Southeast region is very important. “Let’s abolish the village guard system.” My brother, are you going to surrender them into the hands of these people? You are taking away their guns and cutting their wages. And you say, “Live here.” When the PKK says, “Salam alaikum. What were you doing before? Tell me”,what will they say? How could this be? The state will be loyal and considerate like always. The village guard system should never be abolished. It must be improved. What will you do? You will take them in the police force as staff and increase their numbers. This would support the villages. Otherwise, how could they find work or earn money in that region? There is the sector of animal breeding only and the land is not fertile; they only grow wheat if they have land of course but most of them don’t have any land. There is no such thing, in short. This is the solution. It is also an excuse to pay our brothers. Let’s better the village guard system. Let’s have village guards everywhere along the road. Then these jackals would not be able to hit below the belt. Let’s present this as a report to the government. It is important to support and protect our village guards.

May 28th, 2014: A9 TV

ADNAN OKTAR: Our village guards are very good people. For example, sometimes I see the pictures of villages in Mardin and Siirt. Village guards are like lions with their full automatic rifles deployed in the high ground in the village. The whole village is peaceful. Very nice. They are also paid salaries. They take food to their homes. They take vegetables and fruits to their homes. Very nice. It would be great if they were staffed in the police force. Master Tayyip should not hesitate. He should increase their numbers. We need an excuse to give them money. Here is your excuse. Come and let me staff you as a village guard. Take this money and that’s it because there are no jobs in the Southeast. There is no food. It would be easy for my heart. It is also a slap to the PKK. The economy would also get a boost. It would be very nice.
