In one of his conversation programs, Mr. Adnan Oktar made a request to our President Mr. Erdogan that he meets with the village guards who have asked for a meeting with him. Mr. Erdogan accepted a committee of temporary village guards at the Presidential Residence. November 23rd, 2014: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: Our village guards demanded a meeting with the President. Master Tayyip is considering this, I guess; but I’m asking him to meet with a committee of village guards. They have things to say. The government should look after the village guards. Village guards must be appointed as police officers, their numbers must be increased and they must be given better quality weapons. If required, they can be provided with close combat weapons like hand grenades. Also they must be able to carry their weapons in the city center. November 5th, 2014: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: My request from Master Tayyip is that he protects and takes care of our village guards. He should staff them as police officers and increase their numbers as well as their means and defensive ability. This village guard system is a perfect structure. For example, we go to a village in Mardin. Who is welcoming us with automatic weapons over there? The village guards are, with Turkish flags on their chests. This is so nice. We can eat and sing together. We can drink ayran together and have fun and it will be safe. Therefore, we should protect our village guards, increase their numbers and means as well as armament. May Allah protect them, of course, may Allah protect them from any conflict and enemy bullets. We never want something like that but they need to be equipped with perfect weapons for deterrence. Otherwise, may Allah prevent them from having to use these weapons. July 14th, 2014: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: First of all, the welfare of our village guards in the Southeast region is very important. Some people say, “Let’s abolish the village guard system.” Are you going to surrender them to those people? You take away their weapons, cut their wages and tell them to “come and live here.” If the PKK asks them, “What did you do before? Tell me,” what are they going to say? How could this be? The state will be loyal, the government will be truehearted like always. They can never abolish this system: It must be improved. What will we do? We will take them into the police staff and increase their numbers as an improvement for the villages. Otherwise how could they find money in the Southeast? There is only stockbreeding and it is not a fertile land; they grow wheat if they have land, but most of them don’t. There is nothing there, in short. This is the solution to give money to our brothers with an excuse. This would revive the village guard system. There should be village guards all over. Then these [PKK] jackals cannot do anything. If required, we can present this to the government in a report format. Supporting our village guards is very important. February 19th, 2014: A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: They are lions. They are lions. May Allah grant them a long life. May our Lord protect them. May He bestow a feeling of courage and peace upon their hearts. May Allah cover them with His Holy Light. Our government should look after our village guards. The village guard system should not be abolished: On the contrary, it should be supported. Village guards must be considered as police staff so they can be included in the same legislation or counted as sergeants in the military. This could work; being in the same status as sergeants, like in the military. Our lions must be looked after. They put their lives on the line for the sake of Allah. They use themselves as a shield like lions. They are all decent, religious people. May Allah increase their knowledge and wisdom. May Allah protect them from enemy fire, insha’Allah. |
