In his recent conversation programs Mr. Adnan Oktar many times referred to the guardianship among Muslims and reminded that Muslims must protect one another with bonds of brotherhood and provide for one another. He also gave the example of the attitudes of Ansar and Muhajir in the time of our Prophet (saas). Prime Minister Mr. Erdoğan stated that there must be guardianship between Muslims and reminded the importance of this subject by saying, “We must protect the honour of 1.7 billion Muslims in the world and look after them.” 11 October 2015, A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: Believers are brothers. God says,” Believers are the guardians of one another”. This means that we should form such a system that all believers can love one another. Believers are the families of one another; they are the protectors of one another. They look after each other, they help each other, heal them in sickness, they take care of everything. This is like taking care of their children. God says “ The ones who accommodate emigrees”; a poor man emigrees and he does not look for a house to rent. He comes to the house of a Muslim. God mentions those who “accomodate”. God says that they should’t feel the need to rent a house. God wants Muslims to provide them a house. According to the Qur’an you cannot rent the house to an emigree. You have to accomodate him. And God also mentions of those who “help” them. What does “helping” them mean? Those who provide money, food, clothes; those who watch over them and take care of them when they are sick. Because God says that they are their “guardians.” God explains the meaning of “guardian” in the verse. In the time of our Prophet (saas) there were Ansar and Muhajir. The emigree Muhajirs went to Ansar, none of them looked for houses. Each one of them went to one of the Muslims’ houses. For example if a Muslim had twenty sheep, he gave ten of them to his brother who settled in his house. If he had five or six pieces of clothing, he gave three of them to his brothers. They ate their supper at the same table. This is how being a Muslim is. And Al-Mighty God says “ Give whaever is left from your needs.” When a Muslim sees that he has flour, oil, sugar, clothes, and money, he gives them away. 29 October 2015, A9 TV ADNAN OKTAR: Being a guardian for one’s brother. For example, there is uncle Hüseyin in your neighbourhood; that neighbour becomes your father, he becomes your brother. In other words, you don’t let him live in poverty. It is unlawful to let him live in poverty. You don’t need any kindredship for that; everybody becomes your own brother. In one verse of the Qur'an God says, “The muminun are brothers” (Surat al-Hujurat, 10). God says brothers to accentuate that relation; he does not talk about brotherhood in the spiritual sense. He becomes your own brother. Your brother from blood. He is only different in inheritance law, other than that he is your brother. You can’t leave him in a difficult situation. You become responsible for him. The entire society is responsible for each other. It becomes an environment like a heaven. |
