What He Said?What Happened?

In his conversation programs, Mr. Adnan Oktar says that it could be dangerous for Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan to move into the Presidential Palace and it would suit his humility better if he does not move in and noted that the Palace can be used as a guesthouse.

Following Mr. Oktar’s statements, our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan  made an explanation saying, “The Presidential Palace belongs to the people” and renounced his decision to move in. In his most recent statement, he said that the palace should not be called “Presidential Palace” but  rather “Presidential Social Complex.”

ADNAN OKTAR: Is it a good thing that they are all together? Master Tayyip should not do something like that. HE SHOULD NOT MOVE IN THERE. HE CAN USE HIS OWN HOUSE.  HE CAN LIVE A HUMBLE LIFE AS ALWAYS AND USE THAT PALACE FOR GUESTS. He can use it as a guesthouse. He should not place his staff there also. It would be dangerous for them to be housed there as a whole for security reasons.

His staff must be placed in different facilities, different buildings, separately. That would be good in terms of security. A single building would be dangerous. Master Tayyip should not do something like that. He can use his previous house and past means. It would be good for his reputation. I’m giving him brotherly advice. He should not do that. All right, some of his staff can be there; officials dealing with the palace’s security or about some vital matters. But the essential staff should not be placed there. That’d be nice.

Also, IT WOULD BE GOOD FOR MASTER TAYYIP’S HUMILITY. It would be good for his image of being a man of dawah. He should continue his modest life as before. He would be the lord of the people’s hearts like that. He should continue as he is. This is brotherly advise.

At a meeting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said about the cost of the Presidential Palace, “The Presidential Palace belongs to the people. We are here now but who knows about tomorrow?”

January 18th, 2015: Haber 7

President Erdoğan asked that the new palace be called as the “Presidential Social Complex” instead of referred to as the Presidential Palace.

The social complex is planned as “open to public” – a quality different from all the other Presidential complexes of the world- and it is planned that there will be many facilities such as conference rooms, a library, mosque, congress center, art gallery as well as training and meeting rooms and it is planned that  these will all be open to the public.

Moreover, it is noted that the Presidential Palace and the Presidential Residence will carry traditional Turkish Islamic patterns.
