Right now the system of the Mahdi is concealed by God so that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) can carry out his activities easily. Both Hazrat Mahdi is concealing himself and the other scholars knowingly or unknowingly are veiling Hazrat Mahdi.

All Ahl as-Sunnah (Sunni) scholars, particularly Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, have said that Hz Mahdi will begin his duty in the Hijri 1400s -that is the Gregorian 1980s- that he will be an individual, that he will act with his followers who help him, that he will preach the true faith to the whole world and that after a forty-year-long intellectual struggle, he will make Islam prevail all over the world. The prevalence of the morality of Islam was heralded in the Qur'an as well and the coming of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) that has been foretold in the authentic hadiths was accepted "as a matter of faith" by Ahl as-Sunnah scholars.

However, only a few people can see the existence and progress of the system of the Mahdi in the world right now; those who understand and recognize him are even fewer. Only a small number of blessed people can recognize Hazrat Mahdi with the help of the light of their faith.

Some scholars are directly serving the purpose of veiling Hazrat Mahdi. At no point in history has it ever been said this many times that Hazrat Mahdi will not come. Especially some circles that advocated the coming of Hazrat Mahdi until a certain date after the 1980's began claiming in a great hurry that Hazrat Mahdi will not come at all. Looking at the Islamic works such as magazines, books, cassettes and brochures published in the years 1978, 1979 and 1980, one will see that the coming of Hazrat Mahdi was mentioned extensively. After 1986-87 however, it can be seen that the subject matter of the coming of the Mahdi was abandoned abruptly and largely  glossed over. After that date, the statements and publications that claim Hazrat Mahdi would never come were intensified all of a sudden.

Despite the occurrence of a lot of certain signs, too. Now, some say that he will come 300 years later. Some say that he was their sheikh and he has already come and passed. Some say that Mahdi will never come. Some say that it is a spiritual personality, some say he is a spirit. What they all have in common is that they all try to cover up the coming of Hazrat Mahdi with various comments and statements. Some of them even go as far as to say that "Even broaching the subject of Mahdi, even mentioning him, is sedition." In short, people are in a mood of great panic and nervousness.

But here lies a major contradiction: If they do not believe in the existence, the coming and the future activities of Hazrat Mahdi, there is no point in paying so much attention to this subject. They can say "there is no possibility of his coming anyway" and leave it at that. But they can't; they try to prove that Mahdi will not come; on television, radio and newspapers, every chance they get. However, if a person is so sure that something does not exist and will not happen, that person should feel at ease about that subject. Since that subject matter will not reach a conclusion, in their opinion, it should be fundamentally closed for them. But when the issue is Hazrat Mahdi, no such comfort can be observed; on the contrary, they work against Hazrat Mahdi in a great deal of worry and concern, panic and agitation.

Here, a significant example of God's art of creating miracles shows itself. In destiny, God wants the coming, the identity, the future activities of Hazrat Mahdi and his areas of activity to be veiled; because our Prophet (saas) says that the activities of Hazrat Mahdi will spread over a long period of time and only as a result of this work will the prevalence of the morality of Islam will be gradually achieved. And during this long period of time, if the name, location, activities and activity areas of Hazrat Mahdi were known exactly, of course he would become the target of all the malevolent powers. He would become vulnerable to the traps, interruptions and attacks of the people who want to put an end to his activities. However, because the global prevalence of Islam and the victory of Hazrat Mahdi is a certain promise of God, He created a system that will stop anything that will interfere with it. It unwittingly becomes the duty of those people who deny the coming of Hazrat Mahdi to lay the groundwork for the will of God by veiling Hazrat Mahdi.

Willingly or Unwillingly, the Whole World Serves the System of the Mahdi

Consequently, both the unbelievers and hypocrites and idolaters, and also those who embrace ideas against the morality of the Qur'an and the enemies of Hazrat Mahdi are willingly or unwillingly -by the will of God- supporting Hazrat Mahdi and the spreading of the morality of Islam all around the world, wittingly or unwittingly.

It is a miracle that the people who reject the coming of Hazrat Mahdi cannot escape serving him no matter what they do. Each attempt against Hazrat Mahdi will help the influence of this sacred person increase cumulatively. Anyone who says he doesn't believe in Hazrat Mahdi will serve this blessed person with everything he does against him.

In addition to this, it goes without saying that there was also an attempt to prevent the coming of Hazrat Muhammad (saas)  but all these efforts did not change the outcome. The idolaters of the era felt a great deal of panic but couldn't stop the coming of our Prophet (saas). Hazrat Muhammad (saas) came just as he was destined to be and said the words that God willed and completed his mission. Similarly, despite all the attempts made to prevent and obstruct them, no messenger or prophet could be prevented from their coming throughout history.

Additionally, there is another significant purpose that those who deny Hazrat Mahdi serve unwittingly; they ensure that one of the most certain signs of the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi comes true. That is because the cries denying the coming of Mahdi is a sign that Hazrat Mahdi's coming is very close.

"God sends Hazrat Mahdi at a time when people feel hopeless and think that "There is no Mahdi whatsoever..."  Ali ibn Husamaddin al-Mutaqqi, al-Kitab Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir az-Zaman, p.55

"...HAZRAT MAHDI will come carrying the flag of our Prophet (saas) at a time when trouble after trouble rains down on the people and people give up hope about his appearance..." Ali ibn Husamaddin al-Mutaqqi, al-Kitab Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir az-Zaman, p.55

Everyone should know that every sign of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi foretold in the hadiths has been realized miraculously. Both the Prophet Jesus and Hazrat Mahdi will soon appear in a way that the whole of humanity will see, Insha'Allah.
