Hazrat Mahdi (as) will have a copper plate around his neck

615
Abu Said al Khudri’s (ra) account; "... THE DAJJAL WILL CATCH THAT DEVOUT SERVANT TO CUT HIM, BUT AT THAT POINT ALLAH WILL MAKE THE AREA BETWEEN HIS NECK AND HIS COLLAR BONE A COPPER PLATE AND THE DAJJAL WILL FIND NO WAY OF CUTTING HIM. THIS TIME THE DAJJAL WILL CATCH HIM BY HIS TWO HANDS AND FEET AND CAST HIM AWAY. PEOPLE WILL THINK THE DAJJAL HAS CAST HIM INTO THE FIRE. BUT THAT HOLY BELIEVER WILL ACTUALLY BE CAST INTO HEAVEN. (Sahih Muslim, Kitab al Fitan. Hadith No: 113-Imam Sharani, Qurtubi, at-Tazkira p. 488)

The Messenger of Allah (saas) then said; "In terms of testifying to Islam, he is the greatest of human beings in the sight of Allah.”  {Muslim (4/2256) Abu Ya'la (2/332, 534) Abd Ibn Humayd (1/282) Ibn Manda, Iman (2/937) Majma al-Zawaid (7/337) Al-Mizzi, Tahdhib al-Kamal (24/87, 90)}

HIS (THE DAJJAL’S) HAVING A GARDEN AND FIRE IS PART OF HIS CORRUPTION. HIS FIRE IS A GARDEN, AND HIS GARDEN IS FIRE. Let whoever is tested by his fire beg assistance from Allah and read the beginning of Surat al-Kahf. It (the fire) will be cool and peace for him. In the same way the fire was for the Prophet Ibrahim (as).

(Ibn Majah)

HE WILL ALSO IMAGINE HE HAS CAST HIM [HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)] INTO THE FIRE. BUT HE WILL HAVE THROWN HIM INTO PARADISE. BECAUSE EVEN IF HE IS IN THE HELL OF THE DAJJAL, HIS HEART IS ALMOST AT PARADISE.  Mehmed Sofuoğlu, the translator of the Muslim, says the paradise here is a garden of the gardens of this world.

(The Mahdism and the Imamiya, p. 40)

•    The place referred to in the hadith, “is a place of suffering and woes”.

•    But “it will be a verdant place and a garden”.

•    Through his love of Allah and radiance of faith, the believer will suffer no pain.

•    At the same time, “this is also a place where the hands and feet are tied”.

•    People here “will have a copper plate on which their names are written.”

•    “Legal immunity will be obtained here”.

The impression given by all this information is that the hadith is referring to someone being kept in a mental hospital.
