What He Said?What Happened?

Mr. Adnan Oktar has said that some people misunderstood the condolence message that Prime Minister sent to the Armenians who lost their lives on the anniversary of the 1915 Events and interpreted this message as an apology. He expressed that our Armenian citizens must also say condolences and embrace one another for the good days to come.

Prime Minister Erdoğan also said that he hoped that the Armenian state takes a brave step to return the condolence message during his speech at a group meeting.

ADNAN OKTAR: Now a thing about a community or two families; they sometimes shoot one another. Three people die from one family and two from the other and then they have a blood feud. They make peace between them. One side says, “Our condolences” and this other side says, “Our condolences as well.” They embrace one another. Now we said: “Our condolences. Sorry for your loss.” We say, “So do you think to offer your condolences for our martyrs?”

“What are you talking about? There is no such thing. We are not apologizing.” What do we say? “You will give us Agri.” This is one. “You will pay us hundreds of millions of dollars as compensation and you will give us a large part of the Southeast.” They want Van and Agri; this is the first step. So according to them, what did the government say?

“Yes we committed such a crime. We killed you as a people. We committed genocide. We are sorry. Forgive us. It was a mistake.” This is how they understood it; this is how they understood the good intentions of Tayyip Hodja. But what should they do? They should say, “Yes, it is true there was a war. We lost people but you also lost people. Come and let’s shake hands.” This is how to solve things. With love.
