1661

A traditional event called Open Day has been organized in the weekend by Auburn Gallipoli Mosque, an Ottoman-style mosque in Auburn, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. In the event, Irish Alena Sconlon (29) recited the kalimah sahahadah (the Islamic testimony of faith) and embraced Islam in the presence of Open Day visitors and Mr Bilal Aksoy, the Muslim religious leader of the Mosque (the imam).

Auburn Gallipoli Mosque opened its doors to the people of different faiths by means of the traditional Open Day program, which was organized for the 11th time. Some booklets have been distributed to the visitors regarding Islam and Auburn Gallipoli Mosque.
