Ahmet Davutoglu, the Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic, stressed that until today significant progress has been made towards the abolition of visas and added: "This progress continues to include Central Asia. Two years ago Turkey unilaterally abolished the visa from Turkic republics. Later on Kazakhstan abolished visa requirement from Turkey. In the coming days we will complete our work with Kyrgyzstan. A similar work is currently going on with Azerbaijan. When this is accomplished our citizens will be able to easily travel to Central Asia, they will be able to meet with our compatriots there more easily, and we will continue to pursue this policy. Insha’Allah we will abolish visas with Azerbaijan soon, this is a requirement of being two countries but one nation." |
