Turkish Leadership

What He Said?What Happened?

Konya TV, 28 February 2008

Adnan Oktar: Turkey’s duty is to be the leader of the Turkish-Islamic world. This great duty is incumbent upon the Turkish nation. The leadership of the Turkish-Islamic world is one of the greatest tasks in the world history. THIS IS ONE OF THE TURKISH NATION’S VITAL DUTIES. The Turkish nation has a duty to save, not just Turkey, but the whole Turkish-Islamic world. The Turkish nation really is unlike other nations; this is not racism. It is very loyal. Turks are very good-natured. And humane and very compassionate. They are terribly altruistic. Just go to a village. The best room in the house is given over to guests. The owner of the house serves the best food to the guest; he allocates the finest beds and serve beverages in their best glasses. What does this mean? It means our nation is not selfish; it is full of love, an altruistic and joyful nation. It is ready to die for Allah, a most fervent nation.

Abu Dhabi TV, 19 February 2009

Adnan Oktar: Syria wants to unite with Turkey, and so does Iraq. And if Syria and Iraq want it, so will everyone else.Azerbaijan wants it, and Armenia wants to unite with Turkey. Georgia wants it, so what else needs to be done? It is a union that will also include Lithuania. It will be a union that includes Lithuania, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and East Turkestan and all of them. It will reach as far as Libya. A Turkish-Islamic Union will emerge that stretches as far as the coast and interior of Africa. Turkey has prior experience, experience from the Ottoman Empire. And this time round, the errors of the Ottomans will not be repeated. The perfect aspects of the Ottomans will be adopted, but not their errors or deficient aspects, and a perfect union will result.

Turkey’s Leadership is stressed

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan visited Somalia. The crisis in Somalia led the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and many other international institutions to stress the concept of Turkey’s leadership. African countries have supported Turkey, who requested a temporary chair in the UN Security Council. Turkish investments in Africa, a continent of rich resources, are increasing. Ethiopia is an example for that. In this respect, Turkey fulfills her moral duty and strengthens her image of leadership in Africa.

NewYork Times, 20 September 2011

The Arab Spring tour made this month by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey demonstrated the Country’s increasingly confident leadership.

The Muslim world needs democratic role models. On his visits to Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, the Turkish leader, who leads the Islam-rooted Justice and Development Party, made a strong and very welcome case that Islam and democracy are compatible. “Turkey is 99 percent Muslim, yet it is a democratic secular state where all religions are equal,” he said in Tunisia where voters next month will elect their first constituent assembly.
