Allah, Who creates the life of this world as a place of trial for His servants, bestows infinite blessings to them. Every need or anything he may like is prepared for him even before he is created. Allah created the clean air, birds that fly in the sky, plants of infinite beauty and variety, enormously beautiful flowers, unique blessings, beloved ones, cute living beings, the flawless system in the world and many other details for man alone.
When a person comes into this world he finds every need ready for himself. He is surrounded with great comfort. Everything is compatible with his own dimensions and life conditions. Vegetables, fruit and food of every kind make his body work properly and meet his needs.
Man makes almost no effort to obtain these blessings. He simply leads his life in a perfect environment. Our Lord creates all these blessings for him:
This aside, through His messengers, Allah also revealed a Book to guide us in this life of this world. This Book contains all sorts of knowledge a person may need throughout his life. This fact is related in the Qur’an as follows:
“...We have not omitted anything from the Book...” (Surah Al-An‘am, 38)
Allah revealed us a Book full of wisdom to us from which we learn the kind of morality and deeds deserving Allah’s good pleasure:
“This is a Book We have sent down to you so that you can bring mankind from the darkness to the light, by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy..” (Surah Ibrahim, 1)
What befalls a person who is surrounded with blessings equipped with all those tiny details is to live by the morality which is in compliance with the commandments of Allah related in the Qur’an. He is expected to lead his life as a servant who turns to Allah alone and to shape his life in compliance with our Lord’s pleasure.
Allah is also the sole protector and helper of a person who knows that Allah is his only friend and who seeks refuge in His mercy and trusts in His superior intelligence and compassion. A person who knows that everything Allah creates is a manifestation of a superior mind and that there is goodness in them trusts only in our Lord and seeks refuge only in Him. Consequently one of the fundamental attributes of a person of faith is in this life of trial is to put trust in Allah. Putting trust in Allah is to take Allah as a sole friend while engaging in any deed. For a Muslim, it is a requisite of faith to experience the feeling of security that stems from putting trust in Allah since he is aware that it is Allah Who creates every incident throughout his life.
Other than Allah Who continuously creates goodness with His infinitely beautiful morality, there is no one a person can take as a friend. Consequently a Muslim who lives by the morality of the Qur’an only puts his trust in our Lord throughout his life. This is related in the Qur’an thus:
“And put your trust in Allah. Allah suffices as a Guardian.” (Surah al-Ahzab, 3)
