Profound love of Allah also increases one's love to His Manifestations

In the verse, “Some people set up equals to Allah, loving them as they should love Allah. But those who have faith have greater love for Allah...” (Surat al-Baqara, 165), it is related that some peoplego astray while in their pursuit of love; they direct the love they have not to Allah, but to Allah’s manifestations. This is one of the fundamental reasons why people cannot experience love in the true sense of the word. While these people who fall into this delusion assume that they experience real love, they realize that what they are really experiencing  is a deceiving, transient and false understanding of it. People who seek a  solution using  the misguided methods of those  societies who are distant to the morality of religion can never attain the secret of living by  genuine love and respect. For believers, on the other hand,  an entirely  contrary situation holds true. For them, the way to experience genuine love in its most intense form is open, since it is their unconditional love they feel for Allah that lies at the basis of their love. Believers are aware that it is our Lord Who creates everything in this world, and that it is only Him Who holds all people under His control. For this reason, for every moment they experience and every blessing they enjoy, they give thanks only to Allah and feel deep and profound love for Him. They know that Allah is infinitely good, just, compassionate and He is the One Who loves His servants infinitely. They unconditionally and unswervingly trust in Allah. They believe that no matter what Allah creates, there is much  good that they can see or fail to understand.

The love believers feel for others  stems from this very sincere and innate love they feel for Allah. They love other people  in the awareness that it is only our Lord Who creates all this beauty in that other person. For this reason, he approaches a mistake that person makes with compassion, mercy, understanding and forgiveness. A believer can assess that person with the viewpoint required by the morality of the Qur’an, since he attributes neither goodness and beauty in that person (nor his flaws or mistakes) to the person himself. This way, he can constantly display the love and compassion the morality of the Qur’an grants to him.

A believer continues to love a person he loves for the sake of Allah, both in this world and in the Hereafter unceasingly as long as the person he loves also harbours an understanding of love that stems from the love of Allah.

This is a blessing that our Lord Almighty Allah grants only to  believers. Allah grants  His genuine servants who love Him, both in this world and in the Hereafter, with a profound feeling of love and respect; the believers  experience the most beautiful and perfect form of love as a result. This is related in the Qur’an as follows:

"As for those who have faith and do right actions, the All-Merciful will bestow His love on them. (Surah Maryam, 96)
