What He Said?What Happened?

Mr. Oktar frequently states that the Turkish government and nation should state on every occasion that the YPG, the PYD and the PKK are the same organization.

After these persistent statements of Mr. Oktar, several people from different strata of society, notably government officials, started to state that the PYD and the YPG are the branches of the PKK and Öcalan is the leader of this organization.  Recently, the Police Department sent a 55-page report to the US Department of State evincing that the PYD is made up of the members of the PKK.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is the PKK that established the PYD (and the YPG, its armed wing) in 2003 when it withdrew into the interior regions of Syria. The headquarters of the PYD is on the Mount Qandil, just like the PKK.  The leader of the PYD is Abdullah Öcalan, who is the leader of the PKK.  They are no different in terms of their ideologies, their terrorist acts and their targets. They use the very same terrorists. The only difference is their names.  That is why, every support given to the PYD in Syria amounts to backing terrorism.

ADNAN OKTAR: The issue of the PYD being a terrorist organization... Foreign powers try to make Turkish nation accept the YPG and the PYD.... Let's strongly emphasize that we, as a nation, have a stance against the PYD and the YPG.  This can be accomplished, for instance, by means of legally organized meetings. Indeed mass meetings may be held in which people can chant slogans such as, "No to the YPG and the PYD, No to the PKK". Legal posters can be prepared which says, “the YPG=the PYD=the PKK”.

Let's draw the attention of Europe and the world to the PYD and the YPG by legally holding meetings, that is, following a democratic path.   MIT (Turkish national intelligence service) should inform the press about them.  MIT must have a lot of information about the YPG and the PYD.

ADNAN OKTAR: I wrote many articles that appeared in many foreing newspapers stating that the PYD, the PKK and the YPG are all the same. These articles appeared in many countries’ newspapers such as Russia, Iran and  Israel.  We have also warned the USA many times.  They come here and try to persuade us.  This is disgraceful and shameful.  The USA wouldn’t accept such a situation for itself. But they consider the Middle East easy to beat and criticize.

Politicians should repeatedly state this everywhere, both in Turkey and abroad. The government must inform the entire world about the real nature of the PYD and the PYD and state that they are terrorists and anarchists.

ADNAN OKTAR: .... The founders of the PYD and the PKK are the same. They have the very same ideology, the same leader and the same flag etc. Turkish courts issued their verdict about these groups stating that "the YPG is a terrorist organization". That is sufficient.

ADNAN OKTAR: The PYD is a branch of the PKK.  Its mastermind is Abdullah Öcalan. We shouldn't trust any of them.  They are no different from one another. They act altogether. You are clearly a terrorist organization.  You kill people day and night.

October 26th, 2014, A9 TV

ADNAN OKTAR: The entire region acts upon the instructions of Abdullah Öcalan.

There is a PKK in Qandil and another PKK in I don't know where. There is no such structuring. There is one PKK.  The PYD, the PJAK and all the others are different branches of the PKK functioning under different names.  There is no contrary situation.

The members of the PYD are the members of the PKK

 After the USA stated that it didn't consider the PYD as a terrorist organization, the Turkish Police Department prepared a 55-page report evincing that the PYD is made up of the members of the PKK and sent it to the US Department of State.

An excerpt from the report;

The PYD was established by Abdullah Öcalan in 2003. The mission and activities of the PYD were revised with the KCK - Rojava in 2007.  From this date on, the PKK tried to give a legal image to the PYD by presenting it as a so-called political party which carried out its activities on a legal basis.
