11- THE PROPHET JESUS’ (AS) ACTIVITIES ON EARTH

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON CAY TV (February 18^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The essential thing for us is the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as). His emergence into the open. For instance just when you were saying this I have looked up for a hadith and I just found it. This is a hadith on page 4 of the “Risalat Mashrab al Vardi fi Mazhabi’l Mahdi” by Ali Ibn Sultan Muhammad al Qaari. It says that the Prophet Jesus (as) will open up a chest and find a thousand books with seals in it. These are books with the seal of our Prophet (saas). He will find a thousand books. Not one, but one thousand. It says he will hearten Islam with these books. The hadith says so. This is a marvelous thing. This means that he will fully abide by the Sunna of our Prophet (saas) and the Qur’an, and will act in the light of those books. He will distribute these books. Because one person will not read one thousand books. He will obviously hand those books out and have people read them, and will work in that way. But in my view, Allah knows the truth, the Prophet Jesus (as) will make contact with the leaders of the world states and world governments and will bring them under his control. For example, he will include certain important figures from the world’s main armies, certain very important figures of pre eminent people, in his group. In other words, he may already have come and be in concealment. So he might be awaiting for the time of his appearance. Because he will never reveal himself, and he might be taking the most extraordinary care. Said Nursi says, “will be very few and small comparatively to the ‘scientific’, physical armies”

That means he will have scientific activities and activities related with armies. He will be active in certain armies. That of course has to be carried out very silently and by working under deep cover. Of course what we say is Allah knows the truth.

12- WITH THE COMING OF THE PROPHET JESUS (AS), THE WORLD WILL ENTER AN AGE OF PEACE, LOVE AND WEALTH

ADNAN OKTAR’S DENMARK TV INTERVIEW (ISTANBUL, October 23,2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: There will be an age of love and beauty. This love will climb to the highest points, insha’Allah, with the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as). We will embrace and talk to the Prophet Jesus (as). He will walk among and talk to the people, and they will be stunned by this great miracle. When the Prophet Jesus (as) first comes he will be unaware that he is the Prophet Jesus (as). His disciples around him will recognize him through the radiance of faith, with the eye of faith. That is how we will recognize him too. He will learn the Qur’an, and the Torah and the Bible. The Prophet Jesus (as) will then espouse the Qur’an. He will act in the light of the Qur’an, and will call the entire Christian world to the Qur’an and will work miracles for them. He will neutralize the antichrist. Everyone will realize that he is the Prophet Jesus (as) from the miracles he performs, and he will call the whole world to love, brotherhood, and peace. There will be nothing but truth left in the world. The whole world will become a place of festivities. Everyone will be full of love for everyone else. Wealth and abundance will rise to incredible levels. There will be such an abundance of goods that there will be nobody to give it all to. The accounts say that someone will be given enormous quantities of goods, but will feel ashamed and wonder whether he is the greediest in the whole community. He will try to give it back, but they will not let him. They will say that they will not take back the goods they have given out. That is the kind of wealth there will be, insha’Allah. We are heading for an excellent age, we are heading for beauties.

ADNAN OKTAR: Insha’Allah, in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as), joy, fervor and love will reach the very highest levels. Young people will enjoy modern cities and their delights, the aesthetic and the beauties of gardens; in the streets for example they will easily be able to stretch up and pick fruit from trees. You cannot find a single fruit tree on the streets now. But why should there not be a grapevine growing next to every shop, loaded yellow grapes? My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Wouldn’t that be great? Hanging in great bunches. And apple trees and quince trees. What is wrong with that? They are concerned what if someone picks them up. Let children pick them, or poor people, and eat them. What is wrong with that? How great it is.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is stated in the hadith that there will be great abundance of goods in that time and that people will enjoy great economic prosperity. It is stated that goods will be given to people but that they will be embarrassed and want to hand it back, but that those goods will not be accepted back from those people. That is the age of Hazrat Mahdi (as), in other words. The age of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as). We are heading towards it. Islam will spread and rule the world, insha’Allah. ADNAN OKTAR: Insha’Allah, we will marry the Prophet Jesus (as) off. The Prophet Jesus (as) will marry but Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not, there are accounts from our Prophet (saas) to that effect. Our Prophet says that all the imams will marry, and then asks if they had added that important part to the accounts, “all of them but Hazrat Mahdi (as)” he says in the accounts.

15- WILL THE PROPHET JESUS (AS) RECEIVE REVELATION WHEN HE COMES?

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course Jesus (as) will receive revelation. Said Nursi makes that clear. He says he is a prophet who receives revelation and that he will receive revelation in that period. He is in any case known to have received revelation. Of course, he will do many things with revelation, but he will be personally responsible.

16- THE COLLECTIVE IDENTITY ERROR CONCERNING THE PROPHET JESUS (AS)

ADNAN OKTAR: Said Nursi says in the Rays p.463 about The Prophet Jesus (pbuh), “He, who is in the heavens with his human body” “… It could only be a wondrous person with marvels, who is miraculous and who is commonly accepted - this is because he is also the prophet of the Muslims as well- that person is the Prophet Jesus(as).”

“A trusty informer, relying on the promise of the Almighty had presaged that the person of the Prophet Jesus (as) – so that means this is not a collective identity, does it not? He refers to the person of Jesus, in other words, to him personally - who is present with his human body in the world of the heavens – in other words, in human form, in material form - the person of Jesus (as) will come to lead the true religious movement, true religion.” Letters p.60. He says it is certain that he will come.

“It is a sign and an insinuation that the number of the spiritual community of strugglers who will recognize the Prophet Jesus (as) – He does not refer to Jesus (as) as a collective identity, they should be honest about this, look, he makes it perfectly clear- the spiritual community of strugglers who will recognize Jesus (as) – in other words the community of spiritual strugglers- through the light of faith,- through the light of their faith- will be very few and small when compared to the schools and military - ‘scientific’ and physical- forces of the antichrist..” The Rays, the Fifth Ray, Second Station, p. 111.

It is said in the accounts that the Prophet Jesus (as) will come – see, not a collective personality, but the Prophet Jesus (as) will come- will subordinate himself to the Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the prayer - he attaches himself, he abides his imamate- he follows him. This refers to the - alliance, this union, and to the sovereignty of the Reality of the Qur’an - to the following of the truth of the Qur’an, to abiding them and to their sovereignty “– in other words, he says that the Prophet Jesus (as) will abide the Qur’an. The Rays, p.587

“The Prophet Jesus (as) who is present with his human body in the world of the heavens – look, in bodily form in the world of the heavens, in human form- and who is alive) – is there any reference to a collective personality here? No.- and had he truly died and departed for the furthest corner of the hereafter - to clothe him in his body and send him to the world with his body, for such a momentous result is not far removed from the wisdom of Him the Lord. May be He promised it because His wisdom required it to be thus, and since He promised it, He will most certainly send him.” Letters, Fifteenth Letter, p.80.

”Yes, the heavenly appearance, the return, of the Prophet Jesus (as) as certain and definite-look how Said Nursi describes this event-and in the metaphorical sense, as with other certain facts, he indicates a miraculous aspect of this.” Kastamonu Addendum 80-82

There is no reference to a collective personality here, it is very clearly described that he will personally be returning.

“The Prophet Muhammad (saas) alluded to this great mystery when he said: “Prophet Jesus (as) will come, he will be of my community and will act in accordance with my Shari‘a [that is, the essence of Qur'anic moral values and the Sunnah of our Prophet (saas)].”

“When Jesus (as) comes, it is not necessary that everyone should know him to be the true Jesus. His elect and those close to him will recognize him through the light of belief. It will not be self-evident so that everyone will recognize him when he first arrives.” – it will be understood subsequently. Letters, p.80.

“In fact, although when Jesus (as) comes he himself will know he is Jesus, not everyone will know. “notice how there is no reference to a collective personality It is known only through vigilance of the light of faith, not everyone will know. Rays, p.98.

17- THE PROPHET JESUS (AS) AND HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WILL PERFORM THE PRAYER TOGETHER

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (March 9^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: You will hear a soulful call to prayer at Hagia Sophia, insha’Allah. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will take our Prophet’s (saas) jacket from Topkapi Palace and it will be placed upon him. He will strap on his sword, as a blessing, and will unfurl the Holy Banner, insha’Allah. He will then come to Hagia Sophia for the prayer. And at the moment the Prophet Jesus(as) will appear, insha’Allah.

The Prophet Jesus(as) will tell Hazrat Mahdi (as) “do not get in line for the prayer, you will lead the prayer”. He will have to work hard with Mahdi at that. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will insist saying “ Please your highness, it is you, it is you who is worthy of this, insha’Allah. Please you lead”. But he will refuse. When Hazrat Mahdi (as) continues to resist like that, just the same, the Prophet Jesus (as) will push him from his back. He will draw him ahead by force, by pushing him. In other words by pushing him. The Prophet Jesus (as) is masha’Allah an upstanding strong man. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be very strong, too. But they are brothers after all.

Both are descended from the Prophet Abraham (as) and they resemble each other very closely. The people will say they resemble one another, in physical terms too. They will resemble one another in appearance and in style.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON TEMPO TV (January 13^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The most distinctive and irrefutable characteristic of Hazrat Mahdi (as) is the prayer he will perform with the Prophet Jesus (as). The Prophet Jesus (as) will push him from his back to lead the daily prayer. I mean he will push him from both his shoulders. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will say “Please you come ahead”. But the Prophet Jesus (as) will decline, and say “ You are the imam and that you are to lead the prayer.” And thus he will lead Hazrat Mahdi (as) forward to lead the prayer. In this way, he will emphasize the leadership of Hazrat Mahdi (as). There is a hadith to that effect. That is how we will clearly realize the presence of Hazrat Mahdi (as).

18- THE QUESTIONING OF THE PROPHET JESUS (AS) IN THE HEREAFTER

ADNAN OKTAR’S INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (January 26^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Everyone will come with their imams, with their leaders. They will come as whole communities. The Prophet Jesus (as), our Prophet (saas) and everyone will be held to account in the hereafter. Allah discloses a passage from the questioning of the Prophet Jesus in the Qur’an. He will ask him “ Was it you who told them” that is to ask if he was the one who taught them belief in Allah, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, or polytheism. Allah asks “was it you who told them this” He will reply, “Surely You are beyond that, my Lord.” He will say that Allah already knows all his thoughts, and that Allah would know if he had spoken of such a thing. He will say he never said such a thing. Allah will know, but He will question that nevertheless in order to make people repent. Otherwise, of course Almighty Allah knows the answers, but He will make the Prophet Jesus (as) formulate those answers as a blessing for him. And he will answer Allah in this wise with great awe and respect.

19- THE PROPHET JESUS (AS)’ STRUGGLE AGAINST THE ANTICHRIST

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (January 12^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Our Prophet (saas) says that the antichrist will appear following a burst of anger. Something that will anger him will happen, and them he will reveal himself. In other words, he will oppose Hazrat Mahdi (as). But he is not someone Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be able to deal with as he will employ hypnotism and marvels. For example, he will show someone his dead father.” Look,” he will say “this is your father”. And since people are strongly influenced by their parents, his father will call him to disbelief for instance. “Follow the antichrist, my son,” he will say. And when his son looks at him he will see his father, his dead father. He will say, ”he brought me back to life, and you must follow him.” They will then believe that he is the Prophet Jesus. That is in fact how the Christian belief goes. He will claim deity- Allah forbid- and it is said that he will resurrect the dead. And they will see as if he had resurrected the dead. And he will also claim deity - Allah forbid!- He will say, “look, this is your mother. Your mother also says that I am divine. She says that I am Allah. So you must follow me. And the antichrist will attract a great mass of followers. Under those circumstances, there is nothing Hazrat Mahdi (as) can do. The antichrist is not something that can be defeated intellectually or culturally. He is a creature, like satan in human form. But at just that point the Prophet Jesus (as) will return, as a blessing from Almighty Allah. He will return to earth. When the Messiah returns he will confront the antichrist. Probably in the form of a gathering, he will gather all the people. The antichrist will put on a spectacle, a kind of show. “Call on the person known as Jesus,” he will say “I will also show him that I am Allah.”- Alllah forbid. He will again try to supposedly bring someone’s dead father back to life. But there and then the Prophet Jesus (as) will break his hypnotic spell. The man will see that neither his dead father nor his mother are there. The crowd will be enraged this time. Our Prophet (saas) says when it is realized that the so-called Messiah, the antichrist, was lying, the antichrist will seek to escape in the direction of the Gate of Lud. But the Prophet Jesus (as) will follow running and catch him. He will catch and neutralize the antichrist at the Gate of Lud in this wise.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ TV (February 13^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The Gate of Lud is in Israel. It is currently in ruins. It is said that the Prophet Jesus (as) will pursue the antichrist and catch up with him there. The Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will catch him together and neutralize the antichrist there. Said Nursi says, “even a microbe, a cold would kill him in body.... But what really counts is his intellectual system.” In other words, he says the Prophet Jesus (as) will kill that. Because the antichrist cannot be vanquished intellectually, because he performs hallucinations. Said Nursi says “only a prophet with marvels is now needed”. And that prophet is. He says: “the Prophet Jesus (as) who is accepted by the majority”.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (February 16^th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: ... This is for the atheist Zionists’ and Freemasons’ Armageddon plan, this is the Armageddon plan. The plan of the antichrist. This is the plan of the system of antichrist to wipe out Muslims, but it will fail. The Prophet Jesus (as), the true Messiah, will come. He will combine with Hazrat Mahdi (as) and eliminate this very sinister Armageddon plan. In fact we see the worst dimension of Jewish enmity here. This is such a genocide preparation that it is incomparable, that is incomparably worse than that perpetrated by Hitler among some Christians and that is in fact an immense Jewish enmity. The reason why some Christians are supporting the Jews at the moment is that they regard them as powerful enough to eradicate the Muslims. But then, this time they will eradicate the Christians. That is their plan. The 144 thousand is referred to in the corrupted New Testament. And they have, by misinterpreting the New Testament, by expounding these according to their own minds in such a way, drawn such a conclusion. In other words, they thus arrived at this massacre plan. That is why this is what the antichrist whom they await will do. He will first organize the Jews and unleash them against Muslims. Then after professedly annihilating the Muslims, the antichrist will join forces with the Christians again and kill everyone apart from 144,000 Jews. However this is a very deep-rooted belief and a very widespread one. The people are not aware of this genocide I mean of these preparations for a genocide, people are a bit distant in respect of knowledge from this giant event. This is an important fact that needs to be emphasized. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is the person who will prevent this disaster. When Hazrat Mahdi (as) comes, he will prevent that genocide, prevent this disgrace and also eliminate the antichrist’s claim to divine status. He will cast his lies back in his face. But he will do this together with the Prophet Jesus (as). The Prophet Jesus (as) will thwart the antichrist’s snares. The antichrist will lay on a spectacle with hypnosis. He will make people think that he had resurrected their dead parents. As you know, particularly in the End Times many parents will turn their children away from the true path and some of them lead them to unbelief. Thus the antichrist, who is well aware of this power, will show people their dead mothers and fathers as hallucination and make them approve his divinity. May Allah forbid, he will ask “am I Allah or am I not?” And they will say “You are Allah”- May Allah forbid- and they will tell their children ”Abide this person, he is Allah.” may Allah forbid. Hazrat Messiah will come insha’Allah by Allah’s leave, and the blessed Messiah will thwart that ruse, and he will put an end to it by working together with Hazrat Mahdi (as). Because a miracle-working prophet is required to do that says the Blessed Said Nursi. In other words, it is not something Hazrat Mahdi (as) can achieve on his own. And the time when it will take place is approaching fast. The system of the Mahdi (as) has already begun. And we will soon see the coming of the Prophet Jesus, insha’Allah.

20- THE PROPHET JESUS’ PHYSICAL FEATURES AND CLOTHING

ADNAN OKTAR: The Prophet Jesus’ hair will be a reddish black. It will be parted in the middle. He will have very attractive eyes and a small nose. He will have light freckles. He will have a child-like cleanliness, but he will have sharp glances of a prophet. The glances of prophets are very sharp, that is to say the spiritual strength of their glances are very high, they are high powered. He will have broad shoulders and a narrow waist. The Prophet Jesus (as) will be athletic. He will be of average height, but innocent and clean. He will have long hair, down to his shoulders. He will have a white complexion, the Prophet Jesus (as) will have a white complexion. The nature of his hair, the texture of his hair will be unusual, I mean it will be as if it was wet, it is seen in some people, I mean that is a kind of hair seen among the descendants of the Prophet Abraham (as). I mean it will look like wet even though no water has touched it. Some people know such hair type. This is how his hair will look like. That is how it is described specifically in the hadith. The Prophet (saas) says the Prophet Jesus’ (as) hair is “as if water is dropping down his hair.”

ADNAN OKTAR: When he comes, this lovely prophet will be 33 years old. His hair will be so clean that it will look wet. He will be very very decent, and rational, the Prophet Jesus (as) will be a delightful person. People will realize that he is a prophet as soon as they look at him. He will work several miracles. People will see these and recognize him. And he will complete his life in this world, and his death will take place in this world, insha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: The Prophet Jesus (as) will be very agile and athletic. He will have broad shoulders and a narrow waist and will be extraordinarily attractive. He will be very, very handsome. People will not need to ask whether this is the Prophet Jesus (as), as it will be immediately obvious. Prophets are very distinct from ordinary people. They have an intense majesty, such that people sometimes tremble in the face of the strength of his grandeur. For example, that is the same for our Prophet (saas) as well, he would just look and people would be hypnotized so to speak. Our Prophet (saas) would stroke their mouths with his holy hand and only then they would be able to speak again. It will be the same with the Prophet Jesus. That is to say he will be extremely attractive and very agile... But they are generally very witty, warm and joyful. I mean there is never anything cold or chilly about them; they are very warm, very loving, very compassionate and very good natured. But they are very fierce toward the enemies of Allah. The antichrist for instance, will flee like a cur. But the Prophet Jesus (as) will catch him in a moment. He will be very strong and agile, masha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR’S AZERBAYCAN STATE NEWS AGENCY INTERVIEW (August 14^th, 2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: Prophet Jesus (as) is of course exceptionally good-looking. He will be red-haired and innocent-looking, like a child. That is why Allah calls him His lamb; and this is how he is described in the Torah. Jesus is as clean and gentle as a lamb. He has broad shoulders and is built like a lion. He is medium to tall in stature, and everyone will see Prophet Jesus (as) when the time comes insha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: He left the sphere of time and space 2000 years ago, and now 2000 years later will re-enter time and space. He will return wearing those same clothes and they will find him somewhere, insha’Allah.

22- THE COMING OF THE PROPHET JESUS(AS) IS A PORTENT OF DOOMSDAY

ADNAN OKTAR: The first omen of Doomsday is the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (as). If Hazrat Mahdi (as) has appeared, that means that Doomsday is very close, just a few centuries at most. The coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) is the final point. The second great portent is the return of the Prophet Jesus (as). This is clearly set out in the Qur’an. It describes the Prophet Jesus (as) as an omen of Doomsday. No other prophet is called that; only the coming of the Prophet Jesus (as) referred to as a portent of Doomsday.

ADNAN OKTAR: The coming of the Prophet Jesus (as) is very clearly set out in the Qur’an. Look, in only one place and regarding only one prophet does Almighty Allah says, I take shelter in Allah from the satan, “His coming is a sign of Doomsday.” He says this referring to him alone, and this is from the Qur’an. And Almighty Allah says “I will make those who believe in you superior to the unbelievers until Doomsday.” This verse is a sign of global dominion. And in addition, Almighty Allah says “No member of the people of the Book will remain who does not believe in you.” They will all believe. And this is also world rule. It is clear. These are the clear words of the Qur’an.

23- THE PROPHET JESUS(AS)’ HELP TO HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)

ADNAN OKTAR’S AZERBAIJAN TV INTERVIEW (June 11^th, 2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: He will help the Mahdi (as). There is even a verse indicating that. In the Qur’an Allah says that He made a covenant with the Prophets. He says He made a covenant with "you" meaning, the Prophet Muhammad (saas), and "the Prophet Jesus (as), the Prophet Noah (as), the Prophet Abraham (as)". Allah says this is a great promise. Allah asks "have you taken and agreed on this covenant."

REPORTER: Concerning the Mahdi...

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, this refers to the Mahdi. Because since our Prophet (saas) also had promised, there must be someone else. There is only one prophet remaining who can do this now and that is Jesus (as). Jesus must return. When he comes he must also assist an envoy. That envoy is the Messenger referred to as the Messenger Mahdi (as). Said Nursi also refers to the Messenger Mahdi in his books, and that person is an envoy.

24- ISLAM WILL RULE THE WORLD WHEN THE PROPHET JESUS(AS) AND HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) UNITE

ADNAN OKTAR’S ERZINCAN CAN TV INTERVIEW (Istanbul, July 14^th, 2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: It will take place in stages. First, the Mahdi will unite the Islamic world. And when Jesus (as) returns the Christians and Jews will become Muslims. Thus there will be only one religion left on earth. In one verse referring to this, Allah says, I take shelter in Allah from the satan; “before you die, not a single person will be left who does not believe in you.” Everyone will have faith, even including the Eskimos in the North Pole. The Qur’an states this quite clearly. It refers to the Prophet Jesus as “a sign of Reckoning.” It refers to the Prophet Jesus as “He....” and says that when he comes “He is a sign of Reckoning...” His coming is a portent of Doomsday at the same time. Allah says referring to the Prophet Jesus (as) “ I will make those who believe in the you superior over non-believers right up until Doomsday.” We can see quite clearly in the hadith and from verses that he will return.

ADNAN OKTAR: We can clearly see that Islam will rule the world from verse 55 of Surat an-Nur. This is an explicit verse and there are very clear explanations. We can see from both the hadith and from the verses that Islam will rule the world. The story of Solomon (as) and Dhu’l Qarnayn (as) also indicate the global rule of Islam. That part about Dhu’l Qarnayn describes the global dominion of Islam. These two were the greatest powers in the world at the time. And so it will be again. The Qur’an indicates this. If a subject appears in the Qur’an, that means it will certainly come about, insha’Allah. Allah puts them in so that people can adopt them as role models insha’Allah. This is the law of Allah, the law Allah in the Qur’an insha’Allah.

25- HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) AND THE PROPHET JESUS (AS) WILL BE PHYSICALLY VERY SIMILAR

ADNAN OKTAR: Our Prophet (saas) was descended from the Prophet Abraham (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) is also descended from the Prophet Abraham (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a sayyid. The Prophet Jesus (as) is also descended from the Prophet Abraham (as). That is to say they have the same ancestry, Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). Their faces will thus be very similar. People will see that when they come. They will bear a very close physical similarity to one another, the Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). But the Prophet Jesus will have red hair, and his small nose will have mild freckles, lightly freckled and he will be highly attractive, masha’Allah.
