On October 26, 2014, an independent news website World Net Daily (WND) published an article entitled “Popular Muslim Personality: Prophet Jesus is Among Us.” The article examines American writer Joel Richardson’s new documentary, ‘End Times Eyewitnesses,’ which is centered on Harun Yahya and his works.
The article goes on as below:
“According to the new documentary video of Joel Richardson; Adnan Oktar, a famous Turkish intellectual, explains on TV to his millions of viewers that a great leader to rise from Turkey will convince the Christian world to become Muslims.
Richardson, in his documentary, interviews Adnan Oktar, who is a famous TV personality and an influential writer on what awaits the world at the end times. The articulate Turk speaks frankly and calmly on camera during an interview filmed in his studio in Istanbul. He comes across as sincere and affable, calling the Christian Richardson, ‘his brother’. Just like many Christians, Oktar says the Muslim world is eagerly anticipating the Messiah, also refered as Mahdi. Islam also awaits the return of Jesus (Isa). According to Muslim belief, Jesus will tell the world that he is not the son of God, nor was he crucified and resurrected from the dead, and everyone will be convinced about it. Oktar, a Sunni Muslim, says even prominent Shiite leaders in Iran say they expect the Mahdi to appear in Istanbul.
“There is no other time for this,” he tells Richardson. “He should appear in a date between the years 1400-1500 according to Hijri calendar.” The current Islamic year is 1435.
Oktar quotes frequently from the Christian gospels, saying that all the requirements spoken of by Prophet Jesus are being fulfilled leading up to his return."
Richardson says, “It’s important to remember that Adnan Oktar has a huge audience, literally millions of viewers not only in Turkey but throughout Central Asia, the Arab world, Russia and Eastern Europe as well. He has published some 300 books and has a popular TV show.
