Allah is the sole and absolute power that creates all things. Satan’s deceptive system has no effect on those who firmly believe in Allah.
A believer is a being that can think about everything with a clear and open mind in great detail and make solid decisions. However, satan sometimes wants to enmesh believers in negligence by taking advantage of one’s forgetfulness, carelessness or lack of knowledge. But for believers the deceptive plans of satan never come to fruition . In the Qur’an, it is revealed as such:
He said, ‘By Your might, I will mislead all of them except for Your chosen slaves among them.’ (Surah Sâd,82–83)
Satan tries to confuse and enmesh believers in negligence by giving them suggestions. For example, he may prevent a person from doing a good deed, or by pushing a person who is about to say a nice word into saying a mean word. However, a believer knows that all such thoughts are the suggestions of satan. He takes refuge with Allah and does not abide by these impious suggestions by turning to Allah:
As for those who have faith, when they are bothered by visitors from satan, they remember and immediately see clearly. (Surat Al-A‘raf, 201)
