Rabbits

Rabbits, known for their cuteness and amiable nature, and that are also the manifestations of Allah’s name of al-Munis, can range from 50 to 70 centimeters in length when they reach adulthood.

If you try to approach a rabbit, you will most probably notice it running away from you right away with great speed. With their keen hearing abilities, they sense the slightest sound or movement and lose no time in running away. Their hind legs are longer and stronger than their forelegs. This feature enables them to run 40  to 60 kilometers per hour in short sprints, and hop in jumps up to  6 meters ahead. A rabbit can run faster than a car traveling in a city.

Rabbit teeth also lengthen constantly. It is the rabbits constant gnawing which files down  the rabbit teeth and enables them to remain at a desirable length all the time.

On the rabbit’s nose, there exist some special cells that also function as olfactory cells. They have about 20  sensory fibers on their lips that move up and down. Using these sensory cells they try to acquire more information about their environment. For this reason rabbits’ noses and upper lips always move.

There are various kinds of rabbits on Earth that have widely different features. The rabbits living in colder regions are generally white. In this way they are not recognized on snow and can easily conceal themselves. Some rabbits build their nests underground and thus protect themselves.

Wild rabbits, which are relatively bigger in size than others, have longer legs and ears. American rabbits living in the deserts, on the other hand, have very big ears that help it to cool. Like other living beings, Almighty Allah creates rabbits together with all the features meeting their needs in a moment. Allah is the One Who protects and exactly knows all the needs of living beings.

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed satan-

… Is it other than the religion of Allah that you desire, when everything in the heavens and earth, willingly or unwillingly, submits to Him and to Him you will be returned. (Surah Al Imran, 83)
