Mr. Idris Gulluce: We Are Experiencing A Quality Problem Throughout Turkey

What He Said?What Happened?

One of the most important subjects, which Mr. Adnan Oktar mentions in his conversation programs, is the progress in art, aesthetics and quality. Mr. Oktar says that in Turkey there are good services but with low quality and that if there is no emphasis on art, aesthetics and quality then services like roads, bridges and buildings would be worthless, and recommends that the state should place more emphasis on quality when providing services.

After Mr. Oktar put a strong emphasis on the subject of quality, many people from different social circles have begun to express their opinions on the same perspective. The Minister of Environment and Urban Planning, Mr. Idris Gulluce, said, “We are experiencing a quality problem throughout Turkey” and made a speech about the lack of quality.

ADNAN OKTAR: One of the most important goals of governments is quality. For example, in Turkey we don’t have quality; we have low quality. Services are nice but quality is low. For example, let’s say there is an airport, but that airport needs to be easy on the eye with green spaces, being classy and having a modern atmosphere. They are generally more functional. All right, we have solid buildings but they are bluntly not quality.

We need to bring quality to the forefront. Progress in quality is vital. We are a European country. We are not just any third world country. Quality is an essential matter to us. Environmental awareness is essential. We see that our Prime Minister will bring this subject to the forefront as well. We sense that. Insha’Allah, it will be better.

ADNAN OKTAR:  A European level of understanding of art and quality is Turkey’s right as well as an understanding of democracy.

There could be a Ministry of Culture and Arts, or there could be a Ministry of Art, Culture and Aesthetics. Or there could be a Ministry of Culture and Quality. It would be useful to have a Ministry that will include both quality and culture.

(The youngest Prime Minister of Italy (39) is announcing his new cabinet. It strikes attention that 8 out of 16 new ministers are women.)

ADNAN OKTAR: This is very nice. Women are free, beautiful and well groomed. People are happy. They are inclined towards art. They are close to art and very talented about art. They show a beautiful spirit. This is what we are looking for in Turkey. If there is no art, no quality or beauty, build as many bridges as you’d like. It would not work. Art, aesthetic, faith, joy, happiness, fear of Allah and love of Allah must surround everywhere.

ADNAN OKTAR: Real modernity and a joyful society are nice. Instead of a cold, gray society, a joyful, quality, happy and lively society must be the goal of the government and the state.

ADNAN OKTAR:  Having a good economy is not enough. Art, science, aesthetics, beauty and above all else, love is essential. There are important.

ADNAN OKTAR:  In Turkey, bigots want people to be unhappy, cold and gray. First of all, as far as we see, the world enjoys art and aesthetics. Allah created the souls of all people open to love and aesthetics; therefore He created beautiful civilizations. For example, we go to London and the streets are very nice. We go to Paris and it is beautiful. But we go to Afghanistan and it is full of mud and dirt, people and buildings are worn out, everything is cold, gray and dirty. Life is dead. They don’t think about this. “Why does Allah give such trouble?” they ask. So while the world could be a happy, nice place like Paradise and while the Qur’an promises this, why does Allah create such an environment? They don’t think about this. In the verse Allah says, “This is the result of our own doings.” Allah shows such images like swamp cities, like dead cities.

ADNAN OKTAR: Now there are many places and many beauties but those beauties are generally rough. Beauty could never be rough. Beauty needs to be delicate. People don’t place importance on delicacy and courtesy. For example, we look at previous works of art and see grace and refinement everywhere. Then with the beginning of the 2000s, a period of roughness and rudeness has begun. And the 2020s are the years that they will be perfect. In those years, everything will be graceful. Buildings and gardens will be graceful. For example, they build a garden but it looks rough and uneven. They directly plant pine trees all over, all the same size. This is not right. They construct a building but it is soulless. We sometimes look at people and see that their outfits are functional. There is no aesthetics or beauty. Nothing concerns them. Just being functional. They make a table and there is no aesthetics. A true Muslim is an artist. Every true believer is an artist.
