One of the most talked about topics in recent days is undoubtly the issue of education in mother language. Mr. Adnan Oktar has drawn attention to the dangers of the idea of using Kurdish as a primitive language in education for a long time and describes why it should not be. The recent statements made in this direction by various regions also draws attention. A9 TV: October 19th, 2012 ADNAN OKTAR: Education in Kurdish is a very strange offer. They say, “Kurdish may be an official language”. Where has anything like this seen? Circassian brothers will come and they will say that “Circassian may be the official language.” The other one will say that; “Laz language may be the official language.” Arabian brothers; “Arabic may be the official language.” There are English in Turkey, they will say that “English may be the official language.” “French may be the official language”. Jewish brothers; “Hebraic may be the official language.” Where has anything like this seen? Where in the world is such a thing? In America there is American English. In Italy there is Italian, in France there is French, it is something that is not in any country. A9 TV: July 8th, 2012 ADNAN OKTAR: I’d love for a citizen to talk in Kurdish. They should speak. Interesting, very pleasant, different. Why may we bother from it? We are opposed to dividing the country in any event. So this is what we don’t accept. We are opposite on this issue. Otherwise, my dears talk in Kurdish, ı am proud of it, fine, let him speak. But the mother language in Turkey is Turkish. We can communicate wherever we go. We can communicate in courts, in restaurants, in shops. This is a simplicity and a comfort. A9 TV: June 16th, 2012 ADNAN OKTAR: Who wants to learn Kurdish may learn. The government should teach, how beautiful. The traditions and customs of our Kurdish brothers are very beautiful, very majestic. Belly dance music, their joy, Kurdish tents are all beautiful, sira night, majestic people:These may be kept alive, what a beautiful, what a wonderful thing. Allah creates them as an ornament. But we don’t accept the division. I do not intend to give my dears into the hands of the communists. Let them play the tricks they want. In vain they play tricks, we won’t give up even a piece of land. Kurdish people are my citizens, they are my brothers. In no way will I deliver them to the communists. |
