In Sochi, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s explanations regarding Caucasus opening called attention as far as his words about Islam is considered.
The Russian leader evaluated the present status with the leaders and religious scholars of Caucasus region and carried out talks with the Chechen President Ramazan Kadirov and Ingushetia President Yunus-Bek Evkurov as well as some other leaders.
“It is impossible for us to solve the Caucasus problem without receiving any help from Muslim leaders. Therefore, you will always feel the full support of Russian Government by your side.” said Medvedev and promised to provide every kind of support to the religious scholars who practice studies in the region.
Medvedev suggested that principals of Islam are to be expressed by means of TV channels as well as Internet and continued his words as; “Now, digital broadcast is on the stage and it has a serious potential. We should consider of starting a TV channel in our country that presents Islam and traditions.”
