Surat al-Furqan,
“The Messenger says, ..", the Messenger, the Prophet. This refers to our Prophet (saas), of course, but also to Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the End Times. "My Lord, my people treat this Qur’an as something to be ignored.” In other words, they did not regard the Qur’an as sufficient, they did not act according to the Qur’an. They acted in the light of nonsense, instead. So what will Allah do? He will inflict punishment. “In this way We have assigned to every Prophet an enemy from among the evildoers.” Allah says He has appointed a dajjal (antichrist). “But your Lord is a sufficient guide and helper.”
“When Heaven is split apart in clouds,” For example, we will look at the atmosphere and that blue layer will disappear. There will be a black hole and the sky will be seen through it, insha’Allah. There will be a gigantic tear, gaps will appear in the sky. The black of night will be seen through the blue. The blue will be torn apart, the clouds will be torn apart. “...and the angels are sent down rank upon rank;” the angels will come down in visible form, since the need for free will has been removed. Winged angels in visible form will descend to Earth when the Day of Reckoning begins. “The Kingdom that Day will belong in truth to the All-Merciful. It will be a hard Day for the unbelievers,” Allah says that on that day pregnant women will miscarry and one will imagine that people are drunk, though they are not. They will be unable to stand upright or walk. Children’s hair will turn white, insha’Allah. Allah says this will happen without exception. “The day when a wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, ‘Alas for me! If only I had gone the way of the Messenger!”
If only I had obeyed the Qur’an, if only I had believed, they will say. "Alas for me! If only I had not taken so-and-so for a friend!”
Friends turn one another from the true path. One’s friends generally cause one to deviate.
It is true that the Day of Reckoning is imminent. People will see that from major events as of 2012. There will be huge disasters. There will be no respite. Everyone will see that something extraordinary is going on. The day used to go on forever. The weekend would never come. The day now ends in a moment. People sleep, eat and it is suddenly evening and the day is over. People go to work and come back and that is the day over. They have no time to breathe. They wonder where the time goes. But previously, the time went on forever. The proximity of the Day of Reckoning will further strengthen our ties of brotherhood. The proximity of the Day of Reckoning will encourage love.
