| JESUS SAYS: "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the world." (MATTHEW 28:20) |
The original word translated as ‘world’ in the Gospel is "aeon," meaning "age." In other words, this passage from the Gospel really means; “JESUS SAYS: "AND SURELY I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE VERY END OF THE AGE." (MATTHEW 28:20).
The hadiths of our Prophet (saas) says that the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) will take place in the 1400s (Hijri calendar). In other words, Hazrat Mahdi (as) began work as of 1979 AD. As of that date, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will wage a powerful intellectual struggle against irreligion, Darwinism and materialism. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says that the Prophet Jesus (as) will return to earth just as Hazrat Mahdi (as) is about to gain a definitive victory in his intellectual struggle against irreligion and to unite Christians and Muslims in Islam, the true religion:
| Following the Qur'an, the collective personality of Christianity will be in the rank of follower, and Islam, in that of leader. True religion will become a mighty force as a result of its joining it. Although defeated before the atheistic current while separate, Christianity and Islam will have the capability to defeat and rout it as a result of their union. THEN THE PERSON OF JESUS (UPON WHOM BE PEACE), WHO IS PRESENT WITH HIS HUMAN BODY IN THE WORLD OF THE HEAVENS, WILL COME TO LEAD THE CURRENT OF TRUE RELIGION, as, relying on the promise of One Powerful Over All Things, the Bringer of Sure News has said. Since he has told of it, it is true, and since the One Powerful Over All Things has promised it, He will certainly bring it about. Bediuzzaman says that the period in which believers enjoy victory and rule around 1506 (Hijri calendar):

The first sentence refers to the last period of a community striving on the path of Allah in the End Times in ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED - (1500) and the second sentence to the victory of the struggle (waged on the path of Allah) in ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDED AND SIX (1506). (...)It suggests it will continue in a visible and manifest, and perhaps victorious form, until this date (1506)." (The Ratifying Stamp of the Unseen, p. 46) |
Since Hazrat Mahdi (as) began his struggle in 1400 (Hijri), since the dominion of Islamic moral values will persist until 1506 and since the Prophet Jesus (as) will appear when Hazrat Mahdi (as) is about to be victorious in his intellectual struggle, then the Prophet Jesus (as) must have begun work at the beginning of the 2000s AD. In the light of all this information, the Prophet Jesus’ (as) words in the Gospel that "AND SURELY I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE VERY END OF THE AGE" is in complete agreement with the hadiths and Bediuzzaman's statements, and that the Gospel also therefore says that “the Prophet Jesus (as) will come in this century.”
