Islam Is the Fastest Growing Religion in the USA

According to information published by Jim Garamone on the U.S. Department of Defense www.defendamerica.mil web site on 4 October, 2001, Muslims are to be found in all spheres in the USA, including the military.

Islam remains the fastest-growing religion in the United States of America. There are between 5 and 7 million Muslims in America, 10-20,000 of whom are serving in the military.  

Abdul-Rasheed Muhammad is a Muslim chaplain in the army who works at the Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington. Muhammad describes how Allah creates us all, with no distinction between Muslims and Christians.  

Another Muslim in the military is Marine Corps Captain Aisha Bakkar-Poe, who condemns acts of terror for religious ends and says that terrorists do not read the Qur’an we read.  “… Islam does not believe in killing innocent men, women and children,” she says.  

Another Muslim in the military who converted in 1987 is Army Captain Arneshuia Balial, who says that religion is actually a way of life.  
It is of course very pleasing that so many people have become properly acquainted with and accepted Islam. Terror can only be eradicated if believers love and support one another and show the way to acquire moral virtues to the world. Allah reveals in a verse from the Qur’an that:

Those who don’t believe are the friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption. (Surat al-Anfal, 73)
