Elections in the Southeast Region Are Based On Fear

Mr. Adnan Oktar frequently addresses the danger of ideas like autonomy and federation on his programs broadcast on A9 TV and in articles published on other web sites and explains the irrationality of such a demand and that this would mean division and separation . Recently, Mr. Adnan Oktar evaluated the election results for the Southeast region in this context.

ADNAN OKTAR: Autonomy, federation; these are just other names for being divided. Just give up this kind of talk. There is a great risk of division in Turkey and we are in great danger. This is the biggest communist attempt in the history of the Republic.

Events never seen in the history of the Republic are at hand; we are in great danger. When someone mentions autonomy in such an atmosphere and people say, “Yes true, I accept it” this would mean a chain reaction of accepting devastation [for Turkey]. This will never happen. They should not attempt to deceive us. We know what we are talking about.

ADNAN OKTAR: Tayyip hodja must give solid assurance to the people of the Southeast region, to our brothers and sisters. An assurance of life. Pulling out the police force and soldiers from that region and decreasing security precautions would lead a majority of the people towards fear and respect for the PKK’s power. Also, the  rangers must have power: The police, military and gendarme forces also must have high levels of power especially regarding civil aspects. Civil law enforcement agencies must have power. If the people feel safe, they would be able to vote freely for whomever they want. If they have the means to express their will freely, then the Saadet Party and the MHP would also get many votes in the Southeast and the CHP would not be left out; it would get votes as well, the AK Party would also get high numbers of votes. It would be like a general reflection of Turkey as a whole.

ADNAN OKTAR: Federation, self-government, etc.: These are all very risky words. They would all lead to division. They say, “Let’s get it over with soon.” What did we do in the War of Independence? We resisted to the end. Did we say, “Let’s give it all up to the British and get it over with?” Give it to the PKK? Absolutely not. Autonomy, federation, self-government, federal state; these are all polite names for division. Absolutely no. Our soldiers have become martyrs because they did not accept such names. Look; federation, autonomy, self-government and federal state: They became martyrs because they did not accept these names. No martyr would ever accept these. No Turkish citizen, no Muslim would ever accept these. “There were states in the Ottoman period.” True, but the Ottomans ruled the place. She ruled an entire part of Europe. So she had states and everything. The Ottoman Empire had a strong military force. America also has a very strong military force. They have enough atomic weapons to   destroy the world 400-500 times over. She has the strength to destroy everything. They are very comfortable. They can do it.

It is important to see and understand Turkey’s susceptibility. There is no need to pretend not to understand. If you attempt to divide Turkey using a system like that found in America and the Ottoman Empire, this would be a huge mistake and treachery, may Allah forbid it.

This is why our Prime Minister is talking so precisely Look what he says: “2023.” What is he trying to say? “We will be stronger than the Ottomans.” Then do whatever you want. But now we are under a major threat. Does the federal system have a separate parliament? Yes. The Prime Minister is also separate. Done. Parliament is separate; the Prime Minister is separate; police forces  are separate. What is this? This is a separate state. Done. It’s that simple. Then under the shadow of PKK weapons, people will say, “Now let’s gather, we will hold an election to see whether you accept autonomy.” They would fill the boxes themselves and say, “Look, 95 percent positive for our side.” Finished. Now try to change it if you can. This is a very dangerous path. Our Prime Minister is bravely saying, “I will not let the country be divided.” He is very clear. He says, “One state, one people.” But we need to support him.

Yeni Akit columnist Faruk Kose wrote about the danger of autonomy in his article:

“The man has won the elections for municipality mayor and is  trying to design and manage the whole state from his office at the municipality. Even though municipalities do not have any authority other than for “providing municipal work”, saying that they will accept an “autonomous form of government” is an open act of “division” and “decentralization”, is it not?”
