What is the damage caused by Muslims not having a leader?
World states have their presidents, religions have their spiritual leaders, Orthodox churches have their patriarchs, Roman Catholics have their Pope, Anglicans have their Archbishops, Jews have their Rabbis, Buddhists have their Dalai Lamas, Masonic lodges have their Masters, political parties have their leaders, corporations have their presidents and big companies have their CEO's . In short, in every community there is a leader, a head. A military unit cannot exist without a commander. A ship cannot sail without a captain. The hive would be scattered without the queen bee. Even ants have a leader. There is no activity without a leader in any community life. Being without a leader means anarchy and conflict. It means division and crawling. This is because it is the only way to maintain the existence and livelihood of reason, perception and foresight. EVERY ORGANIZATION, EVERY RELIGION, EVERY COMMUNITY, EVERY SOCIETY HAS A HEAD (PRESIDENT): THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE ISLAMIC WORLD, BECAUSE TODAY MUSLIMS HAVE NO LEADER.
Allah Commanded in the Qur’an that Muslims Should Unite and Have a Leader
Today 1.5 billion Muslims live in the world. However, Muslims have not had any head or spiritual leader whom they could follow for some time. Our mighty religion Islam has advanced in time and became stronger but lack of a leader has harmed the ummah. Muslims have become separated among themselves and religious, political, economic and cultural cooperation was not established among Muslims. The actions taken were weak initiatives of no avail. Thus the system of the dajjal (anti-christ) has taken advantage of this separation and taken the world of Islam under captivity. However, the anti-christ way to establish this New World Order was : “Divide and Rule!”
However Allah commands Muslims to be united in the Qur’an: “You who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in command among you. If you have a dispute about something, refer it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best thing to do and gives the best result.” (Surat an-Nisa’, 59) Our Prophet Mohammad (saas) says, “A person who dies before submitting to the Commander in his time dies as an unbeliever”. All reliable Islamic sources also remark that it is obligatory for Muslims to choose an Imam in Command as their leader. So Allah reveals there must be a spiritual leader at the head of the ummah.
However, when we look at the world of Islam, there are tens of thousands of communities, sects and factions that act independently. Most of them are not united but in conflict. Muslims are oppressed, crushed and martyred everywhere. Muslims do not help one another completely. One million Muslims being martryed in Iraq, Afghanistan being occupied for years, Muslim blood being shed in Syria, Palestine and Arakan; what has happened in Burma is a clear indication of this unity and cooperation not being established. However, if the world of Islam came together with the help of a spiritual leader and united their forces, Muslims would never be in this situation. Most Muslims without a leader have formed bigoted attitudes by coming to his own understanding of religion; sects and groups have become the center of the truth and developed an attitude that externalizes and demonizes all other Muslim groups. They have emphasized their differences instead of their common direction according to the Qur’an. However, all Muslims must come together and form the greatest power: the Islamic Union.
It Is No Solution That Muslims Unite to Form Organizations
While Muslims are martyred by being massacred every day and fight against hunger and poverty, these organizations should have been able to protect the life, possessions and honor of the Islamic world. Yet the fact remains that the most prominent scholars, directors and the most distinguished people of countries come together to form organizations and organize large meetings that fail to produce any results. When we look at history, many distinguished people or communities have made great efforts, politically or intellectually, in order to realize the Islamic Union. Islamic Union formulas such as a union at the helm of a delegation of representatives from Islamic countries, or a confederation or EU-like organization were elaborated very recently but no results were obtained because a body without a head is dead. The person who can resurrect a dead body saying “kum biiznillah” by Allah’s leave is a spiritual leader with perspective and foresight about whom everyone is in agreement, who will apply and enforce all commands of the Qur’an, who will teach people love, friendship, brotherhood, peace and sacrifice and who will promote art, science, aesthetics. The world of Islam will not rise unless there is such a leader.
Sectarian Conflicts Take Place in An Islamic World With No Spiritual Leader
The world of Islam began 2013 with conflicts in Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and throughout the Middle East region. The struggle for power in Bahrain is between the Shia and the Sunnis. Those who hold demonstrations for democratic rights in the Eastern sections of Saudi Arabia are citizens of Shia origin. The followers of the sectarian groups producing ever-growing tension since the beginning of the 2000s in Lebanon are the Shiite Hizbullah and the Sunni Hariri groups. There has been a significant increase in the number of attacks that are directly aimed at Shia civilians shortly after the USA withdrew from Iraq. There are similar problems in Yemen, Lebanon and other countries where Sunnis and Shia live together. For example, in Pakistan, approximately 20 people have lost their lives in an attack organized against Shia who came together for Erbain ceremonies. In this regard, there are examples more tragic and horrific than the incidents in Syria.
The Only Solution to Eliminate Corruption in the World of Islam Is to Unite Around a Leader
The only solution to these problems, which arise among believers in the world of Islam and which cause bloodshed among brothers, is a spiritual leader who is the greatest mujtahid and the greatest mujaddid and judge leading the Islamic world. These conflicts will not end in any other way.
As revealed in the hadith: THERE IS A CORRUPTION AND OTHER CORRUPTIONS FOLLOW THIS AND SCOURGES THE FIRST AND THE LAST TURNING IN TO CONFLICT WITH SWORDS AND AFTER THIS A CORRUPTION COMES WHERE ALL HARAMS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS HALALS. THEN CALIPHATE (SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP OF MUSLIMS) WILL COME TO HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WHO IS THE MOST FAVORABLE OF THE WORLD WHEN HE IS SITTING AT HIS HOME.” (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, p.26) putting an end to the problems in Muslim countries due to the lack of a leader and the establishment of peace, comfort and safety - which people long for and need - is only possible by uniting aroung a leader. A lasting, completely satisfactory and genuine solution can only be achieved by following the path shown by Allah and the Messenger (saas). The solution showed by Allah and the Messenger (saas) is the unification of the whole Islamic world around a spiritual leader and establishment of the Turkish Islamic Union. This the system of the Mahdi must be kept on the agenda constantly and Muslims must pray to Allah to send Hazrat Mahdi (as).
The whole Islamic world must look for and find Hazrat Mahdi (as) and ensure that the world is in peace, harmony and comfort thanks to him. It is important not to forget that the emergence of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the sovereignty of the moral values of Islam is the destiny preordained by Allah. Whether people support Hazrat Mahdi (as) or not, Allah will make him successful, abolish all the corruption of the unbelievers with his help and the moral values of Islam will come to prevail. Therefore, everyone who intends to become one of the helpers of Hazrat Mahdi (as), who strives for this end, who wants the Turkish Islamic realm to unite, who intellectually struggles in order to save Muslims oppressed all over the world actually strives for his own inner self. As our Lord reveals in Surat al-‘Ankabut; “Whoever struggles does it entirely for himself. Allah is Rich Beyond Need of any being.” (Surat al-‘Ankabut, 6)
Muslim Are Martyred in the World of Islam Without a Leader
100,000 Muslims - who form 15 percent of the population of Myanmar - have recently lost their lives. Since June more than 1,000 Muslims have lost their lives in incidents that took place in Myanmar and more than 90,000 Muslims became homeless. The 1.5 million Muslims who live in this region are still in danger of genocide.
1.2 million people have lost their lives in Iraq since 2003. 4.5 million people were forced to leave their homes.
In Afghanistan, 20,000 civilians have lost their lives within the first four months of the American occupation and this number has increased gradually every year. Civilians are still killed in bombings and millions of Afghans try to survive at refugee camps under the hunger threshold and in very harsh conditions.
35 million Uyghur Turks have lost their lives in East Turkestan until today.
In Palestine, there were 950,000 Palestinians living in almost 500 cities, towns and villages; this number has decreased to only 138,000 . In this way, approximately 400 Palestinian villages were wiped off the map. (Currently the number of Palestinians living as refugees in camps in neighboring countries like Lebanon and Jordan is 3.5 million.)
During the war in Chechnya, that nation lost three fourths of its population in two years.
In Bosnia, Muslims were systematically exterminated in an example of genocide; 300,000 Muslims were martyred.
There were three major massacres in Kashmir in 1947, 1965 and 1971. Tens of thousands of Muslims in Kashmir were martyred; more than 4,000 women were tortured and raped.
In Patani, an autonomous region dependent on Thailand, about seven or eight Patani citizens are being martyred by Thai soldiers on a daily basis. Under martial law in the region for the last three years, more than 400 people were lost, almost 2,300 people were martyred andalmost 4,000 people were arrested for unlawful reasons. To this day, 30,000 people are being held in concentration camps.
Incidents continue to take place in may countries like Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain, Egypt and Tunusia.
For some parts of the Muslim world, pain and suffering is not coming from the outside world but there are conflicts among Muslims with different ethnic backgrounds, different sectarian views and different cultures –which is completely against the moral values of the Qur’an. One must think deeply about the situation that Muslims with the same Allah, same religion, same Book, same Prophet - who need to be brothers and sisters with the command of Allah - are in conflict with one another, because according to the Qur’an, it is a religious obligation for believers to be united: In one verse it is revealed as such: “Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His Signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided.” (Surah Al ‘Imran, 103)
