Het Nieuwsblad, a Flemish-language daily published in Belgium, carried a report about Atlas of Creation in its 1 March, 2007, edition. The article in the paper, which has a circulation of 210,000, appeared under the caption “A Creationist Book Is Now Openly in Flemish Universities,” and went on to say:
“Copies of Atlas of Creation were sent in recent weeks to Flemish universities. This book originating from Turkey seeks to demolish the theory of evolution and holds the proponents of Darwinism responsible for terrorism … Atlas of Creation is the work of the 50-year-old Adnan Oktar … This 750-page Atlas contains thousands of photographs of fossils and states that living things today possess exactly the same appearance as their prehistoric forebears. This, contrary to Darwin’s claims, is proof that they never evolved. The book also holds Darwinism responsible for the terrorism in the world…”
