A report titled “Sceptics of Darwin” and dated 16 July 2007 in Der Tagesspiegel, a German daily with a circulation of 150,000 and published in Berlin, contained the following lines:
... The struggle being waged by creationists against the theory of evolution developed by Darwin in the 19th century is not limited to U.S. schools and high schools. Devout creationists – conservative Catholics, Evangelicals and Muslims – have become increasingly influential in European countries. The Atlas of Creation, by the Turkish writer Adnan Oktar, has been sent out to schools all over Europe. Politicians in the field of education in Italy, Poland and Holland have treated this creationist movement with understanding.
