IT NEEDS TO JOIN AS A SUPER POWER THAT ACTS AS A BRIDGE TO EUROPE. IN THAT EVENT, EUROPE WILL BE A THOUSAND TIMES GREATER THAN IT IS NOW. America will be twice as great. It will grow enormously. Russia and China will be able to relax. All our neighbors will be able to relax. The Sun will shine on Israel, the Middle East will become like a paradise for them. THEY WILL BE EXTRAORDINARILY AT EASE. It is the Turkish nation that will establish the finest peace, tranquility and love in Turkey. That is how it was in Ottoman times, and how it is in this time. Let us join as the leader of the Turkish-Islamic Union. It would be unbecoming of the Turkish nation to seek to join to ask them for money and jobs. It would be unfitting to behave as if we were asking them to save us. We must go in to save them. We will give them money and make economic opportunities available and join as a leader. WE WILL BRING THEM THE WEALTH AND POWER OF ASIA AND ALL THE ISLAMIC COUNTRIES. WE WILL BRING THEM TECHNICAL OPPORTUNITIES. WE WILL SERVE AS A BRIDGE. That is what I have said. Otherwise, I like Europe’s art, science and culture, of course. I like its art and culture; I like its architecture. I respect it enormously in that sense. I like its democracy. I like its conception of liberty. I would even like them to be more free and democratic and I want Turkey to adopt European democracy, or even to go further than that. TURKEY IS A DYNAMIC POWER, A DYNAMIC YOUTH; THERE IS THE DYNAMIC YOUTH OF ALL THE TURKIC STATES AND ALL THEIR UNDERGROUND RESOURCES, THEIR MINES AND PETROL AND NATURAL GAS, AND ALL THE CAPITAL AND OIL OF THE WHOLE ISLAMIC WORLD IS NOW ON ITS FEET, AND TURKEY WILL ADMINISTER THEM ALL. IT WILL BE THE LEADER AND THE OLDER BROTHER, IT WILL BE A CHANNEL FOR EUROPE, IN OTHER WORDS.
