During the Geneva Meeting on Syria, the UN and Arab League's Joint Special Envoy, Kofi Annan, stated that the participant countries agreed on a transitional government to be set up in Syria to establish peace within the country. This transitional government in question is supposed to include members of the present administration, opponents and other groups and built up depending on common accord. Mr. Annan also added that the Syrian people are now in charge of deciding the future of their country and all parts of Syrian society need to be included in the national dialogue process. |
