3 New Mosques in Three States of USA

In New York, New Jersey and Connecticut , three new mosques will be opened


Three Mosques have been planned to be built by TARF Turkish-American Religion Foundation. While the mosques to be built in New York and Connecticut will be opened in the month of Ramadan, the opening date of the third one in New Jersey has not been determined yet. In the end of this month, Dr. Gazi Erdem, who is the social and religious attache of New York Consulate of Turkey will complete his term of office, said three mosques will be put into service by TARF. He declared; the mosques were builded by aid of Turkish-American benevolents, and firstly the mosque in New Haven will be put into service. And Erdem went on; a three story building in New Haven was bought, and it will be turn into a mosque and a complex where there will be various social activities. When the essential construction is over, there will be a mosque where one thousand of people can pray, and it includes a saloon and mess halls. The mosque will cost 576 thousand dollars and it will be named ‘’ New Haven Mosque of Religious Affairs’.

A CHURCH BOUGHT AND WILL BE TURNED INTO A MOSQUE

In Long Island, New York, A church has been bought and the construction continues on turning it into a mosque, Dr. Erdem stated and went on; it will be ready in the month of Ramadan, and its name specified as “Mawlana Mosque”. And he said they asked for Imams from Turkey for both mosques and they wait  for a positive answer for their demand from Department of Religious Affairs as soon as possible.  And in additon, Erdem said; to buy and construct both mosques , they opened new TARF departments in Long Island and New Haven.

THE BUILDING OF A FREEMASON LODGE WILL BE BOUGHT AND TURN INTO A MOSQUE

Thirdly and latest, for the mosque which was planned to build in New Jersey, the negotiations are still continuing and the bidding is underway for the place. And Dr. Erdem told; they are trying to buy the building of a freemason lodge.
