Those who strongly hold onto worldly values cannot find happiness

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated May 28th, 2015

BÜLENT SEZGİN: God says in the verse of the Quran, I seek refuge in God from satan; "Anything you have been given is only the enjoyment of the life of this world and its finery. What is with God is better and longer lasting." (Surah al-Qasas, 60)

ADNAN OKTAR: The world has its finery too, but its only superficial. This is what God means. "My creation is exceptionally perfect," says God. Because this world is beset with misery and hardship. At the very least, your skin itches, or your head aches, or you get exhausted, or your back hurts. These are created specifically. Or you feel tired and sleepy; there is no end to it.

BÜLENT SEZGİN: Mr. Oktar, as you have pointed out, nothing is eternal, everything falls into decay.

ADNAN OKTAR: Even the places we call the liveliest has worn out. I look at Şişli, Etiler and I see that all the buildings have worn out, even those constructed merely a few years ago. They are headed towards death. They all have gone bad. I look at the buildings in Bebek and see that all of them have fallen into decay. They are rapidly headed towards death. For example, when we meet people whom we have not seen in 30 years, we see that they have grown feeble and are at death's door. We come across people whom we have not seen in 40 years -what you call 40 years is merely four decades that goes by in the blink of an eye- and we cannot even recognize them. We manage to recognize them only after they introduce themselves. They turn into a totally different person. I have friends from the college, I look them up on Facebook, and see that they have become really old. Their skin has become wrinkly, they have completely turned gray. I hardly recognize them after looking at their pictures in their youth. Because I knew them when they were young. But now they are a far from their younger selves. I look at the pictures of my relatives and I barely recognize them. They have become completely different people. They were very young and fresh. It is quite astonishing and a bit scary. Such an extreme change.

KARTAL GÖKTAN: Mr. Oktar, as you have pointed out, the worldly life is indeed short but those in disbelief live it as it is very long. In the Qur'an, God says, I seek refuge in God from satan; "...Life seemed long and good to them."

ADNAN OKTAR: This is what constantly occupies their thoughts. It is one of their fallacious obsessions. They have the plans to to get married, have children and raise a vast family. But when they are asked later on, they all say that it was as if yesterday. They have grown really old but they all say that it went too quick. You should have thought well about it in the first place. Decades go by like years. Like a year, before you know it a decade goes by.

OKTAR BABUNA: Despite this, they still hold passionately onto this world, insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: They do so with passion, but that is a painful, agonizing passion. Theirs is a life full of weeping, moaning, nervous breakdowns and anti-anxiety drugs. Passion among such a life.

ENDER DABAN: In a verse of the Qur'an, God says, "Do not let their wealth and their children impress you. God merely wants to punish them by them in this world, and for them to expire while they are disbelievers." Both in this world and in the Hereafter, insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: God gives ample warning. Almost four fifth of the Qur'an is dedicated to these warnings. But they do not pay attention. Almighty God repeatedly emphasizes it so that they do will not have any excuse left to offer.

YASİN GÖK: God says in the Quran, I seek refuge in God from satan; "Say: ‘What do you think? If God took away your hearing and your sight and sealed up your hearts, what god is there, other than God, who could give them back to you?’ Look how We vary the Signs, yet still they turn away!" (Surah Al-An‘am, 46)

ADNAN OKTAR: In the hereafter, they say, "I used to have eyes, what happened to me?" These people do not disbelieve; they think it is formed by mutation. God demonstrates them what would happen if eyes were really formed by mutations. The eye has perfect structure. Still, they talk as if it came into existence through mutations. Such random occurrence cannot give rise to such perfect form; it would only make you blind. Mutations would weaken your body to a point where even standing up is impossible. Mutations would only lead to blindness, deafness. It would only destroy the present system, nothing else.
