Martyrdom is a cause for joy and celebration; all believers yearn for martyrdom

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated February 11nd, 2018

KARTAL GÖKTAN: Enes Sarıarslan, one of our soldiers who were martyred in Afrin as part of the Operation Olive Branch had told the journalists "We are going there for festivities." We have the footage.

ADNAN OKTAR: He is right. Heaven is a festival and so is martyrdom. But disbelievers see them as a disaster, torment, affliction. However, God defines heaven as a blessing and joy. In the 154th verse of Surah al-Baqara, God says -I seek refuge in God from satan-; "Do not say that those who are killed in the Way of God are dead." On the contrary, they are alive but you are not aware of it." In other words, He says, "Because you are on a separate dimension, you cannot see the dimension they are in." Likewise, in the 169th verse of Surah Al 'Imran, God says, "Do not suppose that those killed in the Way of God are dead. No indeed! They are alive and well provided for in the very presence of their Lord." In other words, they are in heaven. Almighty God says in Surah at-Tawba, 52 - I seek refuge in God from satan; "Say: ‘What do you await for us except for one of the two best things [martyrdom and victory]?" In other words, festivities. "But what we await for you is for God to inflict a punishment on you either directly from Himself or at our hands," by means of us, "So wait, we are waiting with you!’” What will ultimately happen? God willing, Turkey will eventually become greater and achieve Turan [the Pan-Turkism ideal]. Disbelievers will be utterly defeated. In the 69th verse of Surah an-Nisa, God says; "Whoever obeys God and the Messenger will be with those whom God has blessed: the Prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. What excellent company such people are." Here, God refers to martyrs. In the 140th verse of Surah Al 'Imran, God says; "If you have received a wound, they have already received a similar wound. We deal out such days to people turn by turn, so that God will know those who believe and can gather martyrs from among you." God says, "I will gather martyrs from among you." "...God does not love wrongdoers." "So let those who sell the life of this world for the hereafter..." What is it? Martyrs have sold their life in this world in return for the hereafter and the approval of God. "...fight in the Way of God. If someone fights in the Way of God, whether he is killed or is victorious, We will pay him an immense reward," (Surah an-Nisa', 74) says God. But some fools see martyrdom as a terrible affliction, extinction. This is the typical disbeliever mentality. They see it as a disaster. This is a manifestation of the hell within their souls. Martyrdom is a cause for joy, celebration and festivities, a blessing from God. May God grant us all the opportunity to be martyrs. We praise our martyrs for their martyrdom. Again and again we say, May God bless their martyrdom and we look at them with envy. May God grant us the same opportunity as well. We hope that they will call to us and have us join them in heaven. Insha'Allah. Some foolish, ignorant people look at martyrdom as a disaster, an affliction that struck the Turkish Nation. They are oblivious to the fact that it is a blessing from God, that it is a festive occasion made possible by God. They are unaware that martyrdom is awarded with heaven and the appreciation of God. Certain impertinent people say things like "Terrible news from Afrin tore my heart out," using a discourse that flies in the face of the Qur'an and Islam. Of course I do not refer to everyone. This is a result of their ignorance, their lack of knowledge of Islam and the Qur'an. In the 170th verse of Surah Al' Imran, God says, "They (martyrs) are delighting in the favor (martyrdom) God has bestowed on them..." God says that martyrs are delighted. What do those people say? "My heart is torn out by the news." What does God say here? "They are delighting..." Delight, celebration! But it is impossible to make them understand as they lack faith. They cannot understand it. "...rejoicing over those they left behind who have not yet joined them," in other words, they want to give us the good tidings of the festivities and celebrations. This is how Almighty God defines martyrdom. "...feeling no fear," martyrs never feel any fear, "and knowing no sorrow…" In the 171st verse of Surah Al 'Imran, God says; "...rejoicing in blessings and favor from God..." God blesses them with a great favor and bounty.  "...and that God does not let the wage of the believers go to waste." Martyrs give us the good tidings, saying "God bestowed great blessings on us." Yet we are unable to hear them. And some irreligious and faithless people moan and weep, expressing their misguided beliefs about how martyrdom is a terrible demise. Their lack of belief does not allow them to perceive the dimensions other than their own. They simply cannot get their heads around it. They are oblivious to the fact that martyrdom is a cause for celebration and festivities, that it is something to be rejoiced, that it is a blessing, a favor from God. All believers ask God for the opportunity to be bestowed that blessing. However some people are not concerned with their country, nation, state or flag. Sometimes believers, the pious people, particularly the families of martyrs, might make such statements at the heat of the moment. But that does not change the fact that they are incredibly faithful, pious believers. They, too, say that they yearn to become martyrs. Would they say so otherwise? Right? It means that they regard martyrdom as a blessing from God. They might sometimes make such statements out of their temporary sorrow and grief. It is merely a small mistake. But what do they say after that? They say, "Long live our homeland and nation. Long live our state. I would accompany him in his martyrdom if I could. He has become a martyr." They rejoice in and give glide tidings about their sons' martyrdom. On the other hand, what do some other people say, they say: "There is no such thing as martyrdom." There is a world of difference between the two discourses. The fact that they might make such statements in an unguarded moment does not change anything. Because, so long as they acknowledge their sons' martyrdom, it is alright. Besides, martyrdom is something to rejoice.

ADNAN OKTAR: We congratulate the families of our martyrs, all of them. May God bless their sons' martyrdom. May God grant us the same fate. How fortunate are our martyrs. May God bestow the same blessed occasion on us as well.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: It is our belief that we are bidding our farewells to a martyr who attained the rank of martyrdom. It is an occasion of rejoice for his family, relatives and friends. Martyrdom is the second most exalted rank after prophethood. It is such an exalted rank that our brother Ahmet has attained.

As you know, our Lord purchases the souls of those who die in the Way of God in return for a place in His heaven. And our soldiers died in the Way of God. So, do not call them ‘dead’, for their rank is already determined.  Is there a rank greater than martyrdom? May God grant us the opportunity to become martyred on the same Way. And we are always prepared to die in the Way of God for our religion, for our homeland, for our nation. As we said in the very beginning of our journey [as AKP], “We had donned our burial robes before we set forth.”

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha'Allah. Martyrs are greeted in heaven by Hazrat Ali (ra), Hazrat Hamza (ra), and our Prophet (saas). It is a magnificent festival that leaves martyrs wondering why those whom they left behind have not joined them yet. This is what God tells us in the verse of the Qur'an. On a level, we share the same dimension. We congratulate all the families of our martyrs. May God bless their sons' martyrdom. We congratulate them for attaining such an exalted rank. May God bless their exalted rank. Praised be Almighty God for granted our soldiers the greatest rank after prophethood. Insha'Allah, we hope that He will grant us the same blessing, favor. May God save us from dying in our death beds. May He grant us martyrdom. Every single one of our courageous soldiers is aware of this fact; they say, "We are going to the celebration.” What is this celebration? It is martyrdom. Waging a struggle against the Godless, Bookless PKK who oppresses the innocent and covets our national territories is a religious obligation and duty of believers. This is a clear commandment of God. Struggling against the PKK is a religious obligation for all Muslims across the world. The PKK is directly affiliated with the dajjal movement. In times of tumult like this, it is a religious obligation to obey those who are in rule. Dissension is all over the place. Striving against Mr. Erdoğan, against those who are in rule is the epitome of dissension. Almighty God says in the Qur’an, "Sedition is worse than killing." And doing so is openly sowing discord. On the contrary, we need to closely unite as one nation around those in rule against the dajjal movement. God will grant us victory. Let us launch an immense attack. The dajjal has laid its final siege. In such a tumultuous atmosphere, conspiring villainous and hampering actions against Mr. Erdoğan, who works very hard for the sake of God, the Book, Islam, the Qur'an and Turkey, is the most of obvious form of sedition. And sedition is always worse than killing, regardless of the pretense. Mr. Erdoğan is a believer who has fully submitted himself to God. He is not interested in worldly gains. From the moment he wakes up until the late hours of night, he takes care of everything. His consultation is sought about every issue. Do they not have any fear of God that they try to hamper his efforts instead of assisting him? We will elect Mr. Erdoğan as the President of Turkey by winning at least 70% of the votes just to spite the British deep state and the disbelievers.
