Imam Mahdi (pbuh) is the one who provides an environment for Jesus Messiah. Jesus Messiah comes as a guest, so he would not have such an active task. He would be very  influential in the foreign policy of the world; together with his students, he would be influential on people like Putin and Prince Charles of England. But he would have such a significant influence. That is because Jesus Messiah cannot make himself apparent, but that is not the case with Mahdi (pbuh).

Humans die, atoms don't. They continue with their regular, great energy. Atoms do not get sick, they don't get cancer, they don't have ulcers, they do not have stomachaches. They put their trust wholeheartedly in their Lord, they continuously revolve around them like a dervish. For how long? For 15 billion years. What ever you do, even if mountains and rocks coalesce into one, even if everything burns out and is reduced to ash, atoms would continue to revolve without even minding.
