Joshua Walker, a postdoctoral fellow at the Crown Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Brandeis University and a fellow at the German Marshall Fund based in Washington D.C. said that Turkey was a self-assigned key actor of the Middle East, an international player and added that as the greatest and most rapidly growing economy in the Middle East, Turkey, in an unprecedented manner, could play a constructive role in presenting alternative models for the newly emerging governments in the region. |
