The Turning to Islam in Belarus Gained Momentum
The people of Belarus are a nation who spent years under repressive communist rule. The projects implemented by a succession of atheist administrations over a century aimed at turning the people away from God were all in vain, however. The Muslims of Belarus are today once again openly manifesting their faith.
Belarus Minister of Regious Affairs Ebubekir Shabanovic joyfully described how people in his country had begun returning to their old faith, customs and culture.
