During his visit to Egypt, Abdullah Gul, the President of the Turkish Republic, participated in Egyptian Military Academy Graduation Ceremony. It is stated that, apart from Arabic nations, Gul had been the first head of state who was invited to the Egyptian Military Academy Graduation Ceremony.The Turkish flag was waved in the Egyptian skies by parachutists.As the military students carried a large Turkish flag in one part of the parades, the Turkish Army Band Anthem was played as another gesture to Turkey and Gul.
