The Investigation of February 28 Is Getting Deeper

Mr. Adnan Oktar said that investigations about the February 28 incidents were deficient and there should be more detailed investigations.

However the February 28 investigation has been deepened.

ADNAN OKTAR: The government must put away the destruction caused by February 28. Look, if they want, we can give 70% to them as long as they destroy the alleged Ergenekon terror organization completely, and put away the destruction caused by February 28.

The trials opened in that period: The people who were stripped  of their rights, those who were tortured still live among us. Their trials still continue. We can still see the marks of torture  on their bodies. They were sacked from their posts. All the foundations are still shut down. The destruction caused by February 28 still continues in  many ways. Of course, not every aspect but it still continues in many ways.

ADNAN OKTAR: We are with the government. They should work with all their strength to bring democracy completely. The victims should be compensated. Their trials still go on. The torture and persecution towards them still continue. We are with the government. There is nothing to worry about, insha’Allah, but there should also be criticization against the government. A government that is not criticized cannot be strong and solid. This would result in suspicion. Right? They would say, “What kind of democracy is this?” There could be even a stronger opposition. There is nothing wrong with this.

ADNAN OKTAR: If the tortures done by the torturers of the February 28 incident are covered up, we could pursue them and sue them as much as we want, but no one would believe that justice has  finally been served. First of all, the tortures of that period must be uncovered and the torturers must be punished, as they deserve. We want the government to be more determined and quick about this. All right; this is the job of the judicial system but the government must take action against the counter-activities to cover this up, such as making new laws and taking the necessary precautions. The torturers are walking around freely . A special commission could be established, so we do not let these people get away with what they did.

Prime Minister Erdogan said that the investigation of February 28 was not satisfying and civil media structures were not investigated and necessary action must be taken. While three persecutors were examining hundreds of files they also began to investigate the function of the parallel structure that surfaced after December 17. In the report, it was noted that there were significant increases in the assets of a list of 100 people that included media moguls, some famous journalists and members of parliament who resigned from the Refah-Yol government. It is stated that an additional bill of indinctment  will be prepared next week that will cover the media, as well as the judicial system, universities and media syndicates.
