Swedish Reactions To Atlas Of Creation

            Svenska Dagbladet, a Swedish daily with a circulation of some 200,000, carried a second report concerning Atlas of Creation on 4 October, 2007. The paper, Sweden’s third-largest, considered the Council of Europe debate over the teaching of creationism in schools, and went on to say this about the Atlas:
“… Be they Christian or Muslim, devout believers reject the view that man is descended from animals, and maintain that creation, based on religious principles, is in the fact the truth.
The most striking account comes from Muslims. The lavish campaign openly waged by the Turkish creationist Harun Yahya now extends to schools and decision-making bodies in Europe. The reference text known as Atlas of Creation has been disseminated to schools in France, Belgium, Spain and Switzerland.
Two volumes of these weighty Atlases have so far been published (a total of seven volumes is planned), and the aim is to show that the theory of evolution’s claim regarding our origins is, according to the Bible and the Qur’an, mistaken. At the same time, all the members of the Swedish Parliament have the book...”
