Surah Maryam, 1-40

610

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on A9 TV dated 17 March 2012

Verse 1

“Kaf Ha Ya ‘Ayn Sad.” A very inclusive code.

Verse 2

“Remembering your Lord’s mercy to His slave Zacharia”

You know Zacharia was martyred.

Verse 3

“When he called on his Lord in secret” How is prayer made? In secret.

Verse 4

“...and said, ‘My Lord, my bones have lost their strength” You know as one grows older, the rate of calcium, phosphorus in the bones decrease. People start to get shorter. “...and my head is crowned with white” He says that his hair has whitened. “  ...   but in calling on You, My Lord, I have never been disappointed.” He says that he has always been happy praying. He says that he has always been.

Verse 5

“I fear my relatives when I am gone and my wife is barren, so give me an heir from You”

Verse  6

" to be my inheritor and the inheritor of the family of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, pleasing to You.”

Verse 7

‘Zacharia! We give you the good news of a boy named John, a name we have given to no one else before.’

Verse 8

He said, ‘My Lord! How can I have a boy when my wife is barren and I have reached advanced old age?

Verse 9

He said, ‘It will be so! Your Lord says, “That is easy for me to do. I created you before, when you were not anything.”’ Allah says that he created man from nothing. These statements are very meaningful. Surely Allah creates some means but previously he was nothing. Allah makes human beings instrumental for the creation of other human beings.

Verse 10

He said, ‘My Lord, give me a Sign.‘ He said, ‘Your Sign is not to speak to people for three nights despite the fact that you are perfectly able to.’ Although he had no problem with his tongue, although he was not in a senseless state. We are also talking at nights.

Verse 11

He came out to his people from the Upper Room and gestured to them to glorify Allah in the morning and the evening.

Glorify in the morning and in the evening.

Verse 12

‘John, take hold of the Book with vigor.’ Embrace Allah”s Book. “We gave him judgement while still a child” We granted wisdom and profundity when he was still a child.

Verse 13

“...and tenderness” the power of love, the spirit of fervently loving all people, plants, animals, women, all of them with great  and purity from Us – “...he had piety” – He was very meticulous in abiding with the religion and the Book of the time.

Verse 14

and devotion to his parents – he was not insolent or disobedient.

He was not a person with an anarchist and terrorist spirit. He was respectful towards the elderly people, he loves them all.

Verse 15

“Peace be upon him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he is raised up again alive.” The 15th verse, when the Hijri 1400 ends, we enter the 15th century.

Verse 16

Mention Mary in the Book, how she withdrew from her people to an eastern place,

Let’s see its aspects that reveal the system of Mahdi (as). If we take five and six of the 15th and 16th, then it makes 56. 1956 is the time the Treatise of Light was allowed to be disseminated. It is the birth date of the Treatise of Light, insha’Allah. Mahdi (as) also leaves his hometown and comes to another city. In the hadith it is stated that he will cross the sea. He will come to Istanbul, insha’Allah.

Verse 17

“...and veiled herself from them. Then We sent Our Messenger to her and it took on for her the form of a handsome, well-built man.”

Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be concealed by Allah. His feature of being concealed is very important. Indeed his title is “the one being concealed with a veil”. Mahdi (as) will be concealed by a veil. “Then We sent Our Spirit to her”. Who will assist Hazrat Mahdi (as)? Gabriel.it took on for her the form of a handsome” That means that  Gabriel comes to Hazrat Mary (as).

Verse 18

“She said, ‘I seek refuge from you with the All-Merciful if you have piety.’”

Hazrat Mary (as) asks him not to approach. But notice that, “if he is a man of piety”. If he is not pious, he would not be mindful of what is lawful or unlawful. So if you are a believing man, and are meticulous about guarding against evil, then you are reliable. It would be sufficient only to warn him. A Muslim man would, under all circumstances, be cautious even if he is not warned.

Verse 19

He said, ‘I am only your Lord’s messenger so that He can give you a pure boy.’

Verse 20

She said, ‘How can I have a boy when no man has touched me” How can I have a child when I did not have any intercourse. “...and I am not an unchaste woman?’ I am not a woman who sleeps with men. She says that she is a chaste woman.

Verse 21

He said, ‘It will be so! Your Lord says, “That is easy for Me. It is so that We can make him a Sign for mankind and a mercy from Us.” It is a matter already decreed.’

Verse 22

So she conceived him and withdrew with him to a distant place.

She withdraws to a calmer location.

Verse 23

“The pains of labor drove her to the trunk of a date-palm.” Here attention is drawn to date. She said, ‘Oh if only I had died before this time and was something discarded and forgotten!’ She suffers from an intense psychological tension since she has pain and, Allah forbid, because of the so-called illegitimate child. In that tension she says, “Oh if only I had died before this time and was something discarded and

forgotten!’” Allah states the intensity of the pain. This is her trial, Allah reveals the intensity of the trial of Allah.

Verse 24

“A voice called out to her from under her, ‘Do not grieve!” This is obligatory, A Muslim can not grieve. “Your Lord has placed a small stream at your feet.” It is a location where water runs.

Verse 25

“Shake the trunk of the palm towards you and fresh, ripe dates will drop down onto you.” Almighty Allah draws attention to fresh dates.

Verse 26

Eat and drink and delight your eyes. If you should see anyone at all, just say, “I have made a vow of abstinence to the All-Merciful and today I will not speak to any human being.”’

Verse 27

She brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, ‘Mary! You have done an unthinkable thing!

This is the subject that she hesitates about. They claim that she engaged in illegitimate relation.

Verse 28

“Sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man nor was your mother an unchaste woman!’” They say that she also treated her family in a unfavorable manner. There is tremendous oppression by the public.

Verse 29

She pointed towards him. They said, ‘How can a baby in the cradle speak?’ In the Arabic, original text, it is stated, “a baby in the Mahdi.” The cradle is “mahdi” in Arabic.

Verse 31

He has made me blessed wherever I am and directed me to do prayer and give alms as long as I live,

Verse 32

and to show devotion to my mother. He has not made me insolent or arrogant.

Verse 33

And peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I shall die, and the day I am raised alive.

Verse 34

That is ‘Jesus, son of Mary, the word of truth about which they are in doubt.

Verse 35

It is not fitting for Allah to have a son. Glory be to Him! When He decides on something, He just says to it, ‘Be!’ and it is.

Verse 36

“‘Allah is my Lord and your Lord” Allah forbid, He says He is not Allah. This is a straight path.’ “...so worship Him.”

Verse 37

“The parties differed among themselves.” Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodoxy.

“Woe to those who are disbelievers when they are present on a terrible Day!”

Verse 38

“How clear will be their hearing, how perfect their sight, on the Day they come to Us; whereas today the wrongdoers are clearly misguided.” Allah says that they advocate the trinity.

Verse 39

“Warn them of the Day of Bitter Regret when the affair will be resolved. But they take no notice.” They have no faith. Notice that this is again the weakness of faith is mentioned here. So our brothers can see here why we dwell on weakness of faith so much.

Verse 40

“It is We Who will inherit the earth and all those on it. They will be returned to Us.” This verse is a sign as to the reign of Islam over the world.
