Surah Al'Imran, 175-186 (Explanations regarding unbelievers)

2098

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar’s live interview on Kocaeli TV and Mavi Karadeniz TV, October 13th, 2009

ADNAN OKTAR: Surah Al ‘Imran, verse 178, reads, “Those who are unbelievers should not imagine that the extra time We grant to them is good for them. We only allow them more time so they will increase in evildoing. They will have a humiliating punishment.”

For example, deniers and immoral people do everything. They inflict terrible oppression on Muslims. Almighty Allah says, in case people might think ‘Why does Allah not inflict a scourge on them? Why does He allow them to do this?’; “Those who are unbelievers should not imagine that the extra time We grant to them is good for them. We only allow them more time so they will increase in evildoing.” Allah says He grants them these opportunities so they can get into even deeper trouble and fall into the very depths of Hell. “There is a humiliating punishment for them.” “Allah will only leave the believers in the position you now are in so that He can sift out the rotten from the good.” In other words, Allah says He will distinguish between the good and the wicked.

“Allah has not given you access to the Unseen.” Allah says you cannot know the future. “But Allah chooses those of His Messengers whom He wills.” That means He will choose whomever He wants as a messenger. “So believe in Allah and His Messengers. If you have faith and fear [of Allah], you will have an immense reward,” says Allah.

“It was only satan frightening you through his friends.” In other words, they try to frighten Muslims with this or that, through various false claims. “But do not fear them,” says Allah. “Fear Me, if you are believers.” The contrary is unlawful. They ask me ‘why aren’t you afraid’, that’s it, I don’t feel afraid because it is the command of Allah. Look, He says, “It was only satan frightening you through his friends...” He frightens people who are weak in mind and faith, who have been snared by satan. “Do not fear them.” No matter what they may do to try to frighten you, to make you flinch, “Do not fear them if you are believers. If you have true faith Fear Me” says Allah. “Do not let those who rush headlong into disbelief sadden you.” In other words, those who wrong Muslims, who set traps for and slander them, who try to trick and oppress them. “Do not let them sadden you,” says Allah. “They do not harm Allah in any way.” That means they cannot harm you either. The most they can do is to martyr you, and you will then go to a good place. You will go to the best place in paradise insha’Allah.

“Allah desires to assign no portion to them in the Hereafter.” In other words, Allah gives them these opportunities in order to inflict retribution on them, He says. “They will have a painful punishment” says Allah. A very great punishment. That is why He permits it. “So they…” the believers, “…returned with blessings and bounty from Allah and no evil touched them.” See Allah says “So they returned with blessings and bounty from Allah and no evil touched them”. Almighty Allah says nothing bad will happen to Muslims. Allah says He will give them bounty, wealth to Muslims. He says you will be rich. He says’ “...they returned with blessings and bounty from Allah.” They returned from that struggle, from those endeavors with an unexpected blessing. In other words, Muslims engage in a struggle. As a result, Allah says ‘I will give you bounty and you will return with a blessing.’ He says, ‘a blessing that I know’.

“They pursued the pleasure of Allah.” They act for the sake of Allah alone. “Allah’s favor is indeed immense”. And He bestows that favor on whomever He pleases. “Every self will taste death,” says Almighty Allah. That is also written on the gates of cemetery. “Your will be paid your wages in full on the Day of Resurrection.” Whoever has earned merit will receive his full share of that merit. “Anyone who is distanced from the Fire and admitted to the Garden has triumphed. The life of this world is just the enjoyment of delusion.”

Allah says that this world is just a delusion and a play. A place of deception, Almighty Allah warns us not to be deceived. “You will be tested in your wealth and in yourselves.” Almighty Allah says that you may lose your possessions, you may be oppressed or end up in prison, you may be slandered or encounter all kinds of unpleasant things that might disturb you. Almighty Allah says that Muslims will thus be tested. “You will hear many abusive words from those given the Book before you and from those who are associaters,” from the politheists of that time, the freemasons, for example, or other wicked people. Of course you will hear “many abusive words.” They will slander you, insult you and say evil things about you. Look, “you will hear many abusive words” from them. You will hear abusive words from the feracious ones of the time, from the deniers, from the enemies of Islam. “But if you are steadfast and have taqwa (ward off evil),” That means you are to be patient about this, and you will ward off evil, you will be punctilious over what is lawful and unlawful, “that is the most resolute course to take.” Allah tells us to have determination, to be steadfast on His commands.
